THANKS FOR YOUR KIND PING.

Personally, I think that gets into the sort of futile contentious arguments that Scripture exhorts against.

There’s no end of hair-splitting nonsense in the name of religion.

Sigh.

Sorry.

Maybe Gamecock or some of the others want to bother with it.

***Jesus said 3 days and 3 nights in Hell.***

Just where did he say that?

There seems to be a lot of confusion
among those who think of themselves as Christians.

Lots of paganism was promulgated from the Council of Nicea.

YHvH's Commanded Feasts were rejected and replaced by pagan feasts.

From this rejection of the Holy Word of G-d,
all forms of man made tradition rose up.

Yah'shua sacrificed himself as the Korban Pesach
as a covering for all of our sins.

All sin was removed on the day of Hag Matzoh.

He rose from the dead on the YHvH commanded Feast of First Fruits.
Which is the day following the Shabbat following Pesach.

Easter and Good Friday and all the other trappings
come from rejecting the Holy Word of G-d and
replacing it with man-made tradition as modern day Pharisees.

Thanks for the post. Can you make your argument without quoting Abib 15 and Lohmeyer? I am unfamiliar with both. I am very familiar with OT and NT.

The fifteenth of Abib is another name for the fifteenth of Nisan.

It is the date of YHvH's commanded Feast of Pesach.

Abib(Barley) and Nisan are two names for the first month of YHvH's calendar.

It seems like every year around Christmas and Easter crazies come out of the woodwork claiming strange heracies like the ones listed above.

There are Bereans who preach the Holy Word of G-d
to those following the Roman "church"'s Pharisees.

I've known people who were born on Christmas day and celebrated their birthday in July out of convenience. It doesn't matter when they celebrate it as long as they know for what they were celebrating.

Sure there are aspects of Easter that can trace their roots to paganism. But the world would be a bit poorer without a few (Brach) Jelly Beans.

Um, everybody knows the Catholic Church picked the day for Easter, Christmas, All Hallow’s Eve, etc. They made their choices based on history, tradition, and the festivals converts were used to celebrating. The Sabbath was the Jewish Sabbath and Christ was rushed into burial before the sun went down and the Sabbath began. Don’t forget the young Catholic Church was staffed by many of Christ’s actual disciples and their children.

Oh, and the Catholic Church selected everything contained in the Bible too. So, if you’ve got a problem with their holidays, you might...

You may think so, but what I'm asking you has some very important relevance to other doctrines of vital importance. Again, let us know what you think "hell" is or means to your statements! And also "why" you use it so much.

Hell, as supported by New Testament Scripture, is the punishment and final and eternal resting place of those who refuse to submit their wills to God 100% and embrace the gosple of Repentence and Faith.

Obj:
Jedidah
John 19:31 says, “Now it was the Day of Preparation, and the next day was to be a special Sabbath.”

You called that “a lying report.”

If you don’t like it, be honest and cut it out of your bible.

Frankly, you’re not making any sense. You say one thing, then deny it.

Pearls and dust.

Ans:
I do not like it; and I will not hesitate to cut out of my Bible this corruption by puny men: ““Now it was the Day of Preparation, and the next day was to be a special Sabbath.”” So help me God, I shall loose my life to preserve John 19:31 that says: “THAT (VERY SAME) DAY WAS great day of sabbath” -— of the passover”, and that “THAT DAY” in its ending hours, “the Sabbath (Seventh Day) neared”.

I seem to recall the concept of zero on the number line was first advocated by the Hebrew scholars in association with the tradition or Kabbalah in their numerology. I concur with chuckles’ post regarding the feasts as providing a check on the timeline.
