My son in law, Sam, went into the ER with severe abdominal pain the night before last; a CT scan showed a bowel obstruction, tumor, on the right side. He had surgery last night, and 5-6 inches of bowel were removed due to cancer. The doctors said there was no way to foresee this, as he is fairly young. He and my daughter have insurance to take care of the medical expenses, but they have three children under 15. After the surgery, the doctor said he was "cautiously optimistic" but the pathology reports are not due until Thursday, and at that time they'll start to work up a treatment plan.
This is a tremendous unforeseen blow to this nice young family, I'm babysitting for the grandkids while my daughter spends time at the hospital. She's strong, and so is he, their faith is in the Lord. He's Baptist, she's Catholic, they've been happily married 16 years.
Please post the update number, just above. Sorry I forgot to get the number.
Oh absolutely, God may your healing virtue flood the body of our sister right now in the mighty name of Jesus. CO
Thanks much for the update, Judith. Much appreciated.

Prayers continue, God Bless.
Sam got his NG tube out today, and is starting to eat jello and pudding. The nausea has let up some, he is feeling more hopeful. He has been walking in the halls with assistance. Please pray for the swelling in his feet and legs to go down, thank you all.
Sam was taken to ICU last night due to his blood pressure going way down very fast. He is doing better this morning, but they will be watching him closely for several days.
It seems we have progress, then setbacks, then progress, then setbacks. Please pray for Sam not to be discouraged and for my daughter, his wife, to keep her spirits up. She stayed till near midnight last night, went in to see him this morning and told me afterward he looks much better this a.m. They had a conference with the doctors, who said, “This happens. Not alwsys, but sometimes.” The docs are apparently optimistic, but we can tell they are surprised and concerned.
