Before I awoke this morning I had a dream.
I dreamed of an idea and posting it to Free Republic.
It seemed like a great idea during the dream.
Here goes:
Obama cannot find an Ambassador to the Vatican that the Vatican will accept.
Obama wants to reach out or so he says to Conservatives.....
I guess you all have guessed where this is going by now.
Alan Keyes for Amabassador to the Vatican.
In my dream some of you said Alan would never take such a position let alone under Obamas Presidency.
I asked that Alan examine himself in this Lenten season and perhaps if it was pride holding him back that he examine in Prayer and in our Lenten season what God would lead him to do.
As you all know Alan was an Ambassador in the Reagan era and he is a devout Catholic with many gifts.
I think it would be a wonderful (or I did in the dream) oppertunity and a ray of light in a dim dark time with the Jokers in the White house and DC right now.
Please voice your opinion on if and why this is or is not a great idea/dream idea.
If Obama refuses Dr. Keyes the position then if would just be another point of his unwillingness to work with Christians and Conservatives.
Well?
Paging.....
It would neutralize Alan even more than he is now, if he took an appointment from zero.
I fail to see how Amabassador Keyes can represent the interests and positions of this administration in any good conscience.
I think it’s a good use of Alan Keyes’ talents. But he may be too moral a person for someone like Obamateur. And Keyes hasn’t exactly endeared himself to the bolshevik-in-chief.
FOFLOL
FOFLOL
Can you imagine Obama trying to impress upon Keyes the requirement to lie on behalf of his administration to the Vatican regarding abortion in the healthcare bill?
Step out of the dream and step back into reality.
FReegards!
Obama and Keyes are polar opposites and they do not have any affinity for each other at all. Sort of like appointing Rush Limbaugh as press secretary.
Of course the Vatican would be thrilled to have Alan Keyes as ambassador.
Miguel Diaz is the US Ambassador to the Holy See.
I think that it is a wonderful idea if you depend on Keyes for your position or income. Otherwise, a non-nut would probably be better.
Thanks for that update.
I missed the news that Diaz was accepted.
Oh well.
