Hmmm...I notice that the article points out that an effort was made to reconvene the Sanhedrin by some of the Gra's followers in Israel- something that now has been accomplished.

Yes, the Temple will be rebuilt and I believe very soon.

And as far as March 16 being the day- we don't have long to wait to know for sure!

The Sanhedrin has NOT been re-established. The latest attempt calls itself a ‘Nascent Sanhedrin’ and has been met with yawns in the Torah world if noticed at all. It has caused far more excitement among Christians.

A unique ceremony - probably only the second of its kind in the past 1,600 years - is taking place in Tiberias today: The launching of a Sanhedrin, the highest Jewish-legal tribunal in the Land of Israel.

Rabbi Ba'avad explained that the membership of the new body is not permanent: "What is much more crucial is the establishment of this body. Those who are members of it today will not necessarily be its members tomorrow. But the goal is to have one rabbinic body in Jerusalem that will convene monthly and issue rulings on central issues. This is the need of the generation and of the hour."

For the first time in 1600 years, we now have the Sanhedrin, the only properly ordained body of sages which can authenticate a Messiah when he comes.

This ‘Sanhedrin’ has been around for at least five years and simply does not have the rabbinic approval it needs.

It would need the approval of of Torah giants like R. Yaakov Perlow in the USA, R. Shalom Eliashiv and R. Ovadiah Yosef in Israel, and the groups referenced in this article

It doesn't matter. What matters is that, after close to two millennium, the group of rabbis who have the authority to authenticate the Messiah when He arrives has been resuscitated.

It matters not at all how long they've been around; the point is that the fact that they are back in existence, in conjunction with everything else going on in Israel and in the world, confirms that the return of Christ is at the door.

And as far as "needing approval" of the Torah giants- if that is a requirement for God's prophetic plan to progress, then, and only then, will it happen and if it does happen, it will happen in God's time, not when the Torah giants get around to it.

The fact that the Sanhedrin are back in operation is prophetically huge. It's just one more brick in the prophetic stage that has been put into place.

I don't see how. There are too many events that have yet to transpire. The Temple construction being the most obvious. The Temple is worshiped in for 3 1/2 yrs before the AC stops it (Dan. 9:27). Also, Israel flees and is protected for 3 1/2 years after this happens. IOW, the Temple has to be completed and in use at the start of the Tribulation.

Another event that has to occur is the 7 yr treaty. There isn't anyone on the world stage right now that can put that together. The discussion about Israel joining the EU doesn't fit because they don't have the power to enforce any treaty.

This time is likened by John in Revelation as a woman in travailing.... labor, labor pains. Revelation 12:2. Matthew 24:22 and Mark 13:20 Christ said 'those days' should be, shall be, Lord *had* shortened, He hath shortened the days.

BUT all the events foretold will still occur just at quick time like the three stages of labor. Now I don't know where some think there will be a third temple literally built, considering Christ Himself said HE was the temple and told the religious leaders to destroy the temple and it would be *raised* up in three days.

Well, like I said, it all remains to be seen and, since the Hebrew "2010" doesn't start until this coming fall, much time remains for things to fall into place.

What we can probably safely say is that all of this is not decades away. Everything is in place right now, with a few loose ends to get tied up.

Nobody knows for sure- all we know is what Jesus told us to look for and we know that those signs are all happening in our time. The Temple may or may not be constructed before the Rapture and the man who will be Antichrist, whom most students of prophecy believe is alive and well and presently in some obscure position somewhere in Europe, can spring into action at any moment to save the day.

The prophet Daniel via God showed us the Antichrist would rise up in the last days to take control of the world’s economic system. We know this from Daniel and from Revelation 13:16-17. America’s crash will help propel the Antichrist to power because her crash will help bring down other nations who are also near bankruptcy. It is only a matter of time before the USA goes under. The debt is killing off America and it is a near certainty we will see a crash soon.

The nations holding our debt will not be able to carry us any longer and the U.S. will not be able to borrow any more money to keep the U.S. afloat. This is the crash many experts have been predicting, and I do believe it is the crash that will help lift up the Antichrist to a worldwide position.

Once America collapses economically, the last impediment to one-world government will be removed.

Then, there is also looming on the horizon the Psalm 83 war which could provide the catalyst for a "peacemaker" to arrive on the scene and confirm any peace agreement which may emerge in the aftermath of Israel's victory in that war.

So all the pieces are in place on the board, and everything is coming to pass "suddenly" and "quickly" like Jesus told us they would once the birth pangs began.

And again, all we can do is wait and see how it all works itself out.

You might be right. Once our economy is destroyed a new global currency will need to be created. Oil will not be priced in dollars. It also may lead to the financial center of the world locating somewhere else. Maybe a resurrected Babylon?

I don't think the USA plays much of a role in the end times and are financial collapse may be how we are relegated to a backwater status.

First requirement to know must be what the 'tribulation' literally is/means. Now Christ already said that there would be 'wars and rumors of wars' BUT see that ye be not troubled: for all these things *must* come to pass, BUT the end is not yet. Matthew 24:6

So then IF the tribulation is not 'wars and rumors of wars', what then is the opposite? Peace, Peace, Peace, as penned by Jeremiah 6 the whole chapter, but in particular to describe what Christ referenced, about what brings about the end .. verse 14 They have *healed* also the hurt of the daughter of My People slightly, saying, 'Peace, peace; when there is no peace.

I am not going to type the whole chapter but it is required to get the instruction regarding what happens that Christ said was to be the 'end'. Notice though in verse 26 O daughter of My people, gird thee with sackcloth, and wallow thyself in ashes: make thee mourning, as for an only son, most bitter lamentation: for the *spoiler* shall suddenly come upon us.

Now back to Christ's own words when He was asked when these things would be the and what shall be the sign of Thy coming, and of the *end* of the world? Three questions were asked by the disciples, When shall these things be? What the sign of His return and What sign of the consummation of this *AGE*.

The first answer to the first question is deception. Matthew 24:4-5

The second answer to the second question is found verses 7-28.

The third answer to the third question is found Matthew 24:29; 25:26

Now as to Daniel which Christ Himself quoted making Daniel part of the New Testament is found in Matthew 24:21

For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world (age) to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

Now Mark says the LORD *had* shortened those days, so this 'shortening' of the 'days' of Daniel was already shortened when Christ was walking in flesh on this earth.

And the 'shortening' of days of Daniel is also known by the devil as John records in Revelation 12:12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the *devil* is come down unto you, having great wrath, BECAUSE he knoweth that he hat but a short time."

The desecration of the Temple, which Christ said He became is because the 'deception' is that the majority of the inhabiters on this earth will think/believe that the devil is Jesus because they do not know what the deception is nor what the tribulation is.

Notice what Paul made part of the so called New Testament in Romans 11:4 (the elect) by quoting I Kings 19:10-18 But what saith the answer of God unto him? "I have reserved to Myself seven thousand men, who have NOT bowed the knee to the image of Baal... (IKings 19:18 Yet I have left me seven thousand in Israel, all the knees which have not bowed unto Baal, and every mouth which hath not kissed him."

Now this is from Elijah which Christ Himself made part of the New Testament with the Mount of Transfiguration along with Moses.
