In spite of being told numerous times his "stress tests", EKGs, cholesterol and everything-else tests were *great*, we just found out today that he needs quintuple bypass surgery ASAP.
[The "widowmaker veins" and arteries are involved]
I know I beg for a lot of prayers for others but this time, it's for us.
He is, as some of you know, the only reason I stay alive.
Without him, I will literally die. He is the one and only great love of my entire life and I can not lose him. [seriously, no melodrama involved]
He is scheduled for pre-surgery tests probably next week and hopefully surgery as soon as possible after that.
PLEASE get everyone you can to pray for his complete recovery and survival.
Not much scares me but this has me scared half to death already.
He is The One I waited my whole life for and without him, I am dead.
When it comes to him, I have no shame and will beg openly.
Please include him your prayers.

If GOd leads you to the problem,God will oversee the solution. Think of how vital he will become!

Prayers up for your husband. Take a deep breath...it’s going to be OK. Heart bypass surgery is almost as common as tonsillectomies these days.
Try not to show him how scared you are. He must see confidence in your face and manner.
Be strong, be resolute.
I’m sure the many FReepers who have had bypass surgery will be along shortly to reassure you.

Husband went through the surgery a few year’s ago. Very successful, the healing time was a few weeks at home then back to work.
I will be praying for you and your husband. Stay calm. All will be well.

He will do fine. My dad had FOUR of these operations over a time period of thirty years. Although it is major surgery, it has been done so many times the procedure, recovery and rehab have all been perfected over the years to a “T.”
Prayers for you and your family, but in a few short weeks your husband will be fully recovered and once again be enjoying his life to the fullest. Count on it!

Father in law had a quad about 12 years ago. He is 74 and running circles around us!
