Jesus died for me, too. I am a Mormon. Have a great day.

Then accept Him as your Savior and Lord, and His salvation that is offered at no cost with no work necessary.

This video pretty well explains it to all

Where is any of that supported in the Bible? (non-JST version) It's nothing more than a feel good proposition. Again, the lds printing a bunch of fluff without substantiation.

I'll take it one step further, because I have been taught the falseness of the lds church, I'm going to do whatever I can to save my family from this abominable chain of lies and deceit so that they may return to heaven.

I no longer subscribe to any of the lds teachings. I have "closed my heart" to accepting or even considering anything regarding lds "doctrine", "teachings", etc. I have no use for anything produced by lds inc.

I have learned for myself that mormonISM is untrue!

Well, correct me if I'm wrong, but don't Mormons believe that Jesus sweating blood in the garden of Gesthemene is what atones for their sins? Not His actual death?

Threads like this do nothing but support my decision long ago to never participate in ANY organized religion of any kind.

I would guess that professional sports then receives none of your attention either?

“Mormons are Christians on steroids!”

1. Mormonism isn’t Christian - it denies the God of the Bible, denies the nature of His Son and the nature of God the Father. It denies the correct basis of salvation. In short, if something defines Christianity, it is denied by mormonism.

2. Mormonism may promote steroid use - it certainly promotes anti-anxiety prescription drugs and anti-depression drugs - as news reports have highlighted this fact in Utah.

3. Even worse, mormonism promotes feelings as a substitute for objective truth - leaving millions deceived into a Christless eternity.

And then there are evil teachers who go about attempting to deceive others into the same fate... as you are doing.

You believe the Bible - which one, the KJV or the version that smith 'corrected' by the power of God?

And then to top off this one, when the Lds church has offered free Bibles on commercials in the past, guess which one they offer? (The KJV, of course!)

Of course, Mormons provide a technical reason for this: They don't own the copyright to Joseph's 'corrected' version (wife Emma retained the copyright, which went to the RLds break-off sect which she joined).

But what kind of response is it to give a technical explanation when all it shows is that Joseph Smith, if he rec'd an order from the Mormon god to mess with the text -- not knowing Greek or Hebrew -- was not going to place the church in a position to distribute what the Mormon god had ordered?

We get dunked “In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost”

Saundra, this is Matthew 28:20 -- and a book of Mormon verse says this same thing...so, here's my question: Why do these two verses say to be baptized in the NAME (singular) of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost? Why doesn't it say NAMES (plural)?

Mormons are Christians on steroids!

Bumper sticker sloganeering. The only time it's noteworthy is when it's funny.

Christians believe that there is only ONE God, composed of the three persons of the trinity.

Mormons do not. They believe they are three gods with a mutual purpose:

"The trinity is three separate Gods: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. "That these three are separate individuals, physically distinct from each other, is demonstrated by the accepted records of divine dealings with man," (Articles of Faith, by James Talmage, p. 35).

Why not just go about their business? Why partner with anyone? They’re huge.

Actually how one views long dead Joey Smith has no bearing on salvation...

Yes, Jesus died for you. It is very sad that he gave his life for you and you have turned your back to him and God’s Word.

Yes, Saundra He did. And ALL you have to do is believe.

You do not need baptism, extra ‘scripture’, prophets, secret handshakes, holy underwear, to pay tithing, or EVEN a Church.

ALL you have to do is believe that He died for your sins, and that by His grace ALONE through FAITH (NO WORKS AT ALL) you will be saved, made pure and clean before God the Father and will return to his presence.

Belief is ALL that is required. To add anything to that is to INSULT CHRIST and His sacrifice. The additions that the LDS church requires makes a mockery of Jesus’ sacrifice on the Cross.

Abandon the Titanic that is the LDS church and seek a relationship with Jesus alone.

Choose the Cross, Saundra, Choose the Cross.

No other responses to my questions? Really, I expected more from someone so “faithful” to the LDS organization.

I will try my questions again. I realize that my post requires a lot of reading.

Tell me, Saundra, if the Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants, or Pearl of Great Price disagree with the Bible (and they do in several parts), which one do you rely on more? The Bible or other LDS “scripture”?

Feelings should not be the basis of faith. Yet for the LDS they are the primary means of knowing ‘truth’. What about Muslims, Hindus, or Satanists? They will all say they feel their beliefs are “true”? What makes your ‘truth’ better than theirs?

Do you know what steroids do to people?

LOL. Very true in many ways. That is why I am glad Christianity is not a “club”. God loves me in spite of me.
