On Fox News' #1 rated cable news program The O'Reilly Factor, host Bill O'Reilly interviewed guest journalist Brit Humes regarding his controversial remarks about Tiger Woods switching to Christianity made just the day before on Fox News Sunday...
Bill O'Reilly played that tape, then immediately asked Hume "Is that proselytizing?" To which Brit replied "I don't think so ..." ...
By definition, proselytizing is "To induce someone to convert to one's own religious faith. To induce someone to join one's own political party or to espouse one's doctrine." ...
Perhaps it is the word "proselytizing" and the possible negative connotations that prompted Brit Hume's explanation, which seemed to be of genuine concern. As it has often been said: "It's not what you say, but how you say it."
In this case, Brit Hume does seem to have Tiger's best interest at heart ...
(in this interview with Bill O'Reilly) is some of the most powerful witnessing ever seen outside of a religious network...

I hate these people.
Might need a Ted Knight warning with that one.
Prosletyzing or not, Hume was asked a simple question and gave a simple answer, one that some folks may not like...but so what?
Chrissy Matthews, Rachel Madcow and that other guy say things I don’t like all the time, yet they are still allowed to say their piece...
People do, what they want to do. Whether Tiger was Satanic, Buddhist, Wiccan, Jewish, Islamic or even Druidic - that will not prevent him from doing what he wants to do.
He slept with a bevy of beauties, because he wanted to. Power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely. Tiger has more money than his future grandkids could possibly spend in their lifetimes (assuming he has kids with all 19 girlfriends, plus his ex-wife’s). He had the opportunity, he had the desire - he did what he wanted to do.
I cannot imagine Tiger Woods wanting to help himself. But I could be wrong.
Little Billy O'Reilly needs to listenshalom b'SHEM Yah'shua HaMashiach
to Brit and follow his advice.Billy is lost and does not understand
the saving power of calling on the
NAME of Yah'shua.
Mixed reaction to Humes comment. While I think he was sincere and has every right to say what he did, the lamestream media will just use this as another example of how Fox and the Right in general are a bunch of Bible-thumping simpletons. Right now, “Fair and Balanced” would be a good approach.
And the heck of it is, Tiger probably won’t take his advice anyway.
BOR is an idiot.
I don't know....maybe Brit will try to convert Obama away from Islam next. Or are some folks just beyond redemption?
So what if Brit Hume was proselytizing? He's not a "non-partisan" journalist (as if there really is such a thing). He's a guy who is payed to sit on a Sunday morning (Sunday morning - ironic, right?) chat show, and give his opinion about contemporary issues - some are political in nature, and some frequently venture more into the category of pop culture.
Brit's advice is that Tiger needs to get a little Jesus in his life. It seems that's much more sage advice than what Tiger has been getting from his paid representation, IMHO.
I question anyone even watching that blowhard O’Riley.
I stopped reading right there.
Tiger tired the church on the green, and spending Sunday’s their seemed to enhance his bank account, but bankrupted his soul. Christ was, is, and always will be the answer to the sinful nature that plauges all of us from birth. Until the day of restoration and His Kingdom, when sin and all of its effects will be no more, the battle against our lower nature continues to rage. And he is the only shield to the onslaught of the enemy.
Amen. O’Reilly may be Catholic but he’s not born again and is usually unkind to those who are. He’s LOST.
Tiger’s been getting a little for too long and got away with it. He’a ruined his image with everyone, including young people. So sad.
So lost : O'REILLY GIVES CAIR NATIONAL PLATFORM
shalom b'SHEM Yah'shua HaMashiach
