Dispensationalism expects Christ to rule a thousand years on earth before the new heaven and earth - and that the promises to Israel will be kept in reference to the descendants of Abraham, i.e. the nation of Israel. Preterists believe that those prophecies were fulfilled in the first century and that the promises that were made to Israel now apply to Christians. For a Jew to receive a promise he must become Christian.
As far as I know, there are no flame wars on the LDS threads these days. They are all in the Religion Forum where they can get heated, but few end up in the Smoky Backroom. The Romney candidacy and the FLDS situation may have resulted in some News/Activism threads being banished to the Smoky Backroom.
TO DREAM TEAM MONITORING, EXHORTATION, CONSULTANTS, OVERSIGHT GROUP:
I really do want to be faithful and quick to fully apologize WHEN I SHOULD. And, also faithful and quick to forgive.
I have learned from years of apologizing for breathing and taking up space . . . that sometimes, even my fierce assertions were quite accurate and true enough whether the receiving end felt that way or not—and sometimes even loving enough whether the receiving end felt that way, or not.
Hereon, it’s sooo complicated in a list of ways. Some really ugly dynamics and even worse horrific attitudes get built up and locked in . . . and while I think it’s important and fitting to call a spade a spade on such scores . . . I don’t want to do it out of any haughtiness or self-righteousness.
Some of the duplicitous mean-spiritedness is incredible and I have no compunctions about calling it out and labeling it so within the rules. I’d prefer to be seen as all sweetness and light but that ceased to be possible after a few days of membership! LOL.
And, I was quite foolish this last time.
I knew in my heart, mind and spirit that the seductive deceptive, kissy-poo attitude for ‘reasoned’ ‘dialogue’ was a sham . . . a set-up for further grief and mean-spirited-ness later on. And I foolishly, stupidly went along with it when I should have nipped it in the bud. I’m just a sucker for Lucy and the football. My fault for being that gullible yet again. My fault for being the least bit surprised when curs and jerks acted again like curs and jerks.
Enough already yet.
They want to operate in general as a class of curs and jerks, they can well bear the label in general terms. No apologies. If they want to behave differently, they can well earn new labels. They may not know personally how to pretend like decent people but they at least have Alamo-Girl around enough to mimic.
Trouble is, they want to act like curs and jerks and when called on it, they are quick run behind mommy’s dress of pretend propreity—blaming someone else for the turmoil their churlishness and jerkiness triggered . . . and to pretend that they are lily white and even saintly. That is a horrific stench to me and one I’ll likely remain quick to call a spade a spade on.
I certainly know that no amount of argument or dialogue is going to change their character or their opinions a micro-gram’s worth. The most sensible thing is to totally ignore the curs and jerks. The word will get out to the Lurkers otherwise anyway.
There’s just some part of me HATES to terminally consign someone to such a dreadful class or group in spite of their hard work to screamingly earn the label for years hereon.
Feel free to exhort me however y’all wish. I’m not super heels-dug-in-domatic on much of any of it.

I can not answer your questions as presented but will offer this...
1. I believe many people see unidentified flying objects. I have posted on FR about two separate occasions where I had thought I had seen mythological creatures. On these occasions I had a vantage point that allowed me to eventually determine the reality of what I was seeing. On another occasion I saw a real creature that didnt belong where it was and was told that I was crazy for having believed I had seen it but I was eventually (2 yrs later?)exonerated by press releases by the DNR stating that what I, and by then many others, had seen. From these events I have learned that many truly believe their reports but do not have all the facts and that there are occasions where fortunate timing or unusual insight allow some to have knowledge that others will not accept.
I outright reject the concept that there are physical entities which are "FALLEN ANGELS" but accept that there may be other intelligent life forms in the universe.
I make no effort to determine the veracity of the information offered and do not read it with that purpose in mind.
2.I believe it is highly probable that many believe such stuff and as such it is of interest to me.
3.All government information is disinformation. The truth may lie somewhere between 1% and 99% of what you are told but the official version does contain a lie of some sort.
I do not believe that physical entities from hell publish books or host web sites.
Crazy people rant as do the sane and on occasion either may whisper. All information should be gathered and the reason for it being offered should be determined.
