Hello Brothers and Sisters!
It is on my heart to witness to the lost, among whom are the Muslims I encounter.
I have been reading, and am almost done with Sharing Your Faith With a Muslim, and the thrust of it seems to be ...
1) pointing out the reliability of the Bible, given the Koran never speaks of it's corruption at all, contrary to what Muslims currently say about it.
2) cornering a Muslim into the divinity of Christ using the Koran
I am only up to Chapter 10. If anyone else has finished it, I'd appreciate a better summary.
What I wanted to ask is, should I use the standard "use law to drive sinners to Christ", or should I use the technique in "Sharing Your Faith With a Muslim".

“How best to witness to Muslims?”
Very carefully, of course.

In Joel Rosenberg's book Epicenter, he talks about someone whose name I can't remember that was witnessing to muslims and I was shockingly surprised how open some of them seemed to be to at least listening to what he had to say.
By example. The same as with everyone else. The Lord called us to be salt, light and leaven, not pushy assholes.
Pardon my French, of course...
It hasn’t worked too well after 1,000 years.

Christians need to do thing with wisdom and order. I have a plan:
A Christian's first and most important mission field is his **own** kids. Therefore...get your children out of the government atheistic indoctrination camps. One of the most effective way of bringing your own children to the gospel is to give them a thoroughly Christian education. ( Yes, I have links)
The next most important mission field is the children of his congregation. This means seeing that they receive a thoroughly Christian education.
Now turn you attention to the non-Christian parents and kids in your own neighborhood, at work, and places you meet to socialize. If possible offer these kids a thoroughly Christian education.
Then,...If you have any time after all of the above, turn your attention to Muslims.
I don’t want to rain on your parade, but I think emulating the Templers may be the only way at present.
lol
G-d must open their hearts to hear what you are presenting to them. You will know if they are ready to listen and then you can proceed with being their friend and sharing what you are led to share.

Well said. I concur.
Tell them why you have a personal relationship with Jesus and pray, pray, pray for the Holy Spirit to take over.
This is not from personal experience with Muslims.
While some of the more pithy responses are humorous; I would start the same way I would talk to most people — do you know if you are going to heaven.
A Muslim can never answer that. Barring of course the whole blow yourself up for Allah nonsense. Which is probably why that approach is so popular in their world.
Also Jesus (or Isa) has a prominent place in the Koran and performs miracles unlike Mohammed. Ask Muslims about that and Isa’s sinless life also attested to in the Koran.
With the Muslims I’ve heard of coming to Christ, they’ve almost all had a fascination with even the Jesus of the Koran. He also is born of a virgin.
Try sharing my tagline with them.
Many Muslims believe that Christianity is a poly-thiestic religion because we worship the Trinity.
I have had some modest success in challenging this idea by suggesting that a man can have many roles; he can be a father, brother, husband, etc: WE can take on many roles, and so does our Father. This is overly simplistic, but I believe that it is a good first step in challenging a very large misconception about Christianity.
No kidding: some Muslims countries even forbid such a thing.
ROFLMBO.
You slay me sometimes.
Indeed. The consequences for proselytizing can be quite Draconian. As I said, one should witness very carefully.
Exactly. Don’t throw your pearls before swine. If your audience is unwilling to listen to your witness, move on to those who will. First witness to the willing; their are plenty of them, be they Muslim or not. Remember, Islam is not a religion, but rather a whole political, social, religious, etc structure that controls every aspect of their lives. For them, converting is a capital offense, that they can only escape by leaving their country and family. Plus, their family will disown them. Sensitivity to that will go a long way. They will need a safe place to “land”, if they convert, since they’re giving up WAY more than one of us would have to.
