The singer Kylie Mingue, who is 40 years old, has decided to marry the young Spanish model Andreas Valencoso, who she has been in a relationship with since November last year. As sources claim, she wants a dream Catholic wedding.

The couple will marry for the first time in the Spanish castle Parador de Cardona, which was built in the 9th Century, and is on Costa Brava. The second ritual will be held in Melbourne, in intimate surroundings.

Kylie is so intent on including the traditional aspects of a Catholic mass that she's thinking of converting” said a source close to the singer, writes entertainment.stv.tv.

The stylist William Baker, who always accompanies the singer, will most probably dress the bride in a Dolce & Gabanna dress, considering that the singer has been cooperating with them for many years.

Embracing personal salvation as a fashion statement or accessory, probably isn’t a very good idea.

It looks like she's gone under the knife too many times, which is too bad because she was kind of cute and the plastic surgery ruined it.

I would hope that she would convert because she wants to not just because of marriage. I think if she has the wedding and starts taking classes she will be fine. My brother in law waited 18 months after his marriage to my sister in 1996 to become Catholic and now is probably more Catholic that my sister or anyone in my immediate family who all went to 12 years of catholic School and church every Sunday. If she truly believes that she should be Catholic, she will and be better for it. I wish her the best.

I must be way out of touch. I have never heard of this woman.

The article doesn't quite seem to add up. Unless she was interestted in converting to Catholicism, I can't see why she would want a Catholic wedding. It's important to note the quote that makes it seem conversion is an afterthought comes from her p.r. person, not Kylie herself. It would be interesting to hear what she has to say personally about her interest in conversion to Catholicism. I have seen interviews with her and she seems to be a bright person who wouldn't make a decision about her faith based merely on a whim.

I also think, even if she is drawn to the faith because of her interest in Catholic weddings -- hey, God has used stranger vectors of attraction to bring his people Home to the Church.

She is a huge, international pop star, of the magnitude of a Michael Jackson or Madonna. But for some reason she has not been as popular in the U.S. as she has been just about everywhere else in the world.

She and her sister are well known pop singers/actresses in the British Commonwealth.

For a 40 year old cancer survivor, I think she looks pretty darn good. I know she’s admitted to having botox injections. I am not a fan of cosmetic surgery at all, but I think whatever she has done has worked for her.

Kylie did pretty good as a lingerie model, too:

My mom’s best friend’s husband became Catholic after forty years of marriage. Sometimes it takes awhile!

She reminds me of actress Sandy Dennis (Who's Afraid of Virginia Wolff, etc.).

A friend of mine converted after 27 years. She once told me, “I had to think about it...for a long time.” She is now one of the most wonderfully devout Catholics I know.

Good choice. I just got back from three days there. It's not on the coast, though.

The first question to be answered is “Has she been married before?”
