"It is good to give thanks to the Lord, and to sing Praises to Your Name O'Most High to declare Your Lovingkindnessess in the morning and Your Faithfulness in the night"(Psalm 92:1-2)

Dear Heavenly Father, You are full of Mercy and Grace,I ask that you forgive my sins and the sins of my fellow countrymen.. for taking our eyes off of You and serving other gods! Please have mercy on us! Please give us repentant hearts that turn to You and hearts that desire to serve You and You alone! Please hear us in the morning and the evening..in the light and the darkest nights, this I pray!

Thank You for this day of Freedom made possible by You and our American Heroes..past and present. I ask that you lay Your Healing Hands on our wounded Brothers and Sisters in Arms, that You wrap Your Arms of Peace and Comfort around those grieving for our Fallen Heroes.
I lift up the family of Private William Long for continued comfort and strength in the Lord. And I continue to lift up to You for healing and strength, Private Quinton Ezeagwula, that those guilty would be brought both to earthly judgment as well as Your Divine Justice! Thank You,God for these Heroes, may we never forget nor forsake them. I ask these things all in the Precious Name of Your Son,Jesus Christ, and for His Glory, amen.

E-mail from a friend..........

A SOLDIER DIED TODAY

He was getting old and paunchy And his hair was falling fast, And he sat around the Legion, Telling stories of the past.

Of a war that he once fought in And the deeds that he had done, In his exploits with his buddies; They were heroes, every one.

And ‘tho sometimes to his neighbors His tales became a joke, All his buddies listened quietly For they knew whereof he spoke.

But we’ll hear his tales no longer, For ol’ Bob has passed away, And the world’s a little poorer For a soldier died today.

He won’t be mourned by many, Just his children and his wife. For he lived an ordinary, Very quiet sort of life.

He held a job and raised a family, Going quietly on his way; And the world won’t note his passing, ‘tho a Soldier died today.

When politicians leave this earth, Their bodies lie in state, While thousands note their passing, And proclaim that they were great.

Papers tell of their life stories From the time that they were young, But the passing of a soldier Goes unnoticed, and unsung.

Is the greatest contribution To the welfare of our land, Some jerk who breaks his promise And cons his fellow man?

Or the ordinary fellow Who in times of war and strife, Goes off to serve his Country And offers up his life?

The politician’s stipend And the style in which he lives, Are often disproportionate, To the service that he gives.

While the ordinary soldier, Who offered up his all, Is paid off with a medal And perhaps a pension, small.

It’s so easy to forget them, For it is so many times, That our Bobs and Jims Went to battle, but we still pine.

It was not the politicians With their compromise and ploys, Who won for us the freedom That our Country now enjoys.

Should you find yourself in danger, With your enemies at hand, Would you really want some cop-out, With his ever waffling stand, Or would you want a Soldier, His home, his country, his kin, Just a common Soldier, Who would fight until the end?

He was just a common Soldier, And his ranks are growing thin, But his presence should remind us We may need his like again.

For when countries are in conflict, We find the Soldier’s part Is to clean up all the troubles That the politicians start. If we cannot do him honor While he’s here to hear the praise, Then at least let’s give him homage At the ending of his days.

Perhaps just a simple headline in the paper that might say: “OUR COUNTRY IS IN MOURNING, A SOLDIER DIED TODAY.”

AMEN SISTER,TO YOU EARLY MORNING PRAYER AND GRACE TO ALL CHRISTIAN PATRIOTS!

“There brake he the arrows of the bow, the shield, and the sword, and the
battle.”
- Psalm 76:3

Our Redeemer’s glorious cry of “It is finished,” was the death-knell of
all the adversaries of his people, the breaking of “the arrows of the bow,
the shield, and the sword, and the battle.” Behold the hero of Golgotha
using his cross as an anvil, and his woes as a hammer, dashing to shivers
bundle after bundle of our sins, those poisoned “arrows of the bow;”
trampling on every indictment, and destroying every accusation. What
glorious blows the mighty Breaker gives with a hammer far more ponderous
than the fabled weapon of Thor! How the diabolical darts fly to fragments,
and the infernal bucklers are broken like potters’ vessels! Behold, he
draws from its sheath of hellish workmanship the dread sword of Satanic
power! He snaps it across his knee, as a man breaks the dry wood of a
fagot, and casts it into the fire. Beloved, no sin of a believer can now
be an arrow mortally to wound him, no condemnation can now be a sword to
kill him, for the punishment of our sin was borne by Christ, a full
atonement was made for all our iniquities by our blessed Substitute and
Surety. Who now accuseth? Who now condemneth? Christ hath died, yea
rather, hath risen again. Jesus has emptied the quivers of hell, has
quenched every fiery dart, and broken off the head of every arrow of
wrath; the ground is strewn with the splinters and relics of the weapons
of hell’s warfare, which are only visible to us to remind us of our former
danger, and of our great deliverance. Sin hath no more dominion over us.
Jesus has made an end of it, and put it away for ever. O thou enemy,
destructions are come to a perpetual end.
Talk ye of all the wondrous works of the Lord, ye who make mention of his
name, keep not silence, neither by day, nor when the sun goeth to his
rest.
Bless the Lord, O my soul.

C.H.SURGEON
SOLI DEO GLORIA!

Religious Nuts
Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one. —Colossians 4:6

I have a friend who was invited to a dinner party where he was seated next to a belligerent unbeliever who delighted in taunting Christians.

Throughout the evening, the man baited Matt mercilessly about the evils of Christendom throughout the ages. With each insult, my friend calmly replied, “That’s an interesting point of view.” And then he asked a question that revealed genuine interest in the man and deflected the discussion away from the issue that divided them.

As the two were walking out the door at the end of the evening, the man fired a final jab, at which point Matt put his arm around the other man’s shoulders and chuckled. “My friend,” he said, “all night long you’ve been trying to talk to me about religion. Are you a religious nut?”

The man’s animosity dissolved in a burst of laughter and then in sobriety, for he was indeed a religious nut. All human beings are. We’re insatiably and incurably religious—hounded by the relentless love of God, though we may try to keep Him away. Matt’s kindness and deft humor awakened this man’s heart so that he could be receptive to the gospel.

We are to be “wise as serpents” (Matt. 10:16) when dealing with non-Christians, speaking to them “with grace, seasoned with salt” (Col. 4:6).

You have called us, Lord, to witness—
Called to speak the truth in love;
O how much we need Your guidance
And Your wisdom from above. —D. De Haan

As the “salt of the earth,” Christians can make others thirsty for the Water of Life.

"Even though they walk thru the valley
of the shadow of death," (so we don't have to),
"They should fear no evil, for you are with them."

I never served, and I won't pretend to know what it could be like.
We should pray especially for those who are in that situation yet don't know the Lord.

My state is burying 3 home-grown heroes this week.

"Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul."

Amen.

I do agree with you. I am so sorry for your state's loss. They are our loss too. We share with you in your sorrow for the lost lives and concern for these precious people's souls!

Father, In Jesus Name, I ask You to bless the families and friends of these three heroes with Your Comfort and Peace, the Peace that passes all understanding and the comfort that they will need in the days, weeks and years ahead! Thank You for their lives that they gave that others might live in freedom. Thank You, that You are faithful and true to send Your servants to plant seeds of the Gospel to those that need Your Son,Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Please prepare their hearts with Your Holy Spirit and Please open their eyes to Your truth in Your Holy Word. Thank You for this time of sharing in the Name above all Names, Jesus the Christ!
