Why the closing of car dealers matters to Christians! I am sure most people don't fully appreciate what is really happening with the closing of nearly 2,000 auto dealerships around the country. THIS IS A HUGE DEAL AND PEOPLE NEED TO PAY ATTENTION!!! The reason this is a big deal is because these are vibrant, active, PROFITABLE businesses that are only being closed because King Obama is forcing the auto makers to close them!!!
At first glance, this may seem impossible. After all, the goal of the government is to stimulate business, not shut it down. However, now that the government is dictating to the auto makers on how to operate their businesses, they are directly responsible for this closure of nearly 2,000 dealerships. Most of these dealerships are very successful businesses and have been stable forces in their communities for decades. They employ hundreds of people and dozens of vendors have their business directly tied to these dealerships.
So the question has to be, why? The answer is the government is not as interested in businesses succeeding as they are in their control over entire sectors of the economy. They have virtually taken over the banking and financial sector, the real-estate sector, and now the auto sector. While not officially being in control of any of these industries, the reality is they have TOTAL CONTROL!
The next three sectors the government is openly targeting are energy, education, and health care. Watch over the coming months as the government takes a huge role in all three of these industries. Once that happens, the media is one of the two remaining major sectors for the government to control, and the fact is, the bulk of the media is already carrying the water for the Obama administration.
What is the last sector? RELIGION! Please, don't be lulled to sleep that this administration does not want to control religion as well. President Obama made a huge effort to take control of the religious tone and conversation in the nation during his Presidential run. Once in the White House, he has continued that quest. Why were people so surprised he kept President Bush's Faith Based Office? Simple. It gives the government the financial lever to control those organizations who get government money!
However, Obama has much larger aspirations when it comes to religion. He has been building a solid coalition over the years of Christian leaders who have sold out the faith to do business with the world like Rick Warren, other liberal "Christians" like the President of Notre Dame, as well as those who represent other faiths. It is a mini version of what the world will experience when the anti-Christ comes to power and establishes a one-world religion. His speech at Notre Dame Sunday was very telling of his mindset as he looks to control the religious tone and conversation in this nation.
Oh, there will still be "freedom of religion," but those who are dogmatic and not playing the ecumenical game of compromise, will be targeted as purveyors of hate speech and a danger to the nation. As long as you compromise the Truths of the Bible, stay in your church or in the ineffective Christian media, and don't challenge the governments anti-Biblical positions on every issue, you will be fine.
Whether you understand it or not, there is an unGodly king on the throne who like Ahab, is going to make life miserable for any true prophet of God who calls the people to repentance and to turn back to God and His Truth. Like the wicked kings of Israel, they will control the priests of the day with power and money, but there will be those few God raises up who care less about the temporal things of this world, but only in fulfilling God's call on their life at this critical moment in human history with the soul of this nation hanging in the balance!
I love you and care about you so much. Why does the fact that 1,900 car dealers, most vibrant successful businesses, were given pink slips last week matter to Christians? It is because the government is looking to control all major sectors of our nation's daily life, INCLUDING RELIGION! There will come a day very soon, sooner than most think, when you will remember these words.

Not sure where you get this idea. The doctrinal statements on the guy's website are Scriptural, and his claim that the vision he has for a particular ministry was given by God is no different from the claims of any respectable pastor regarding the vision God has given him for the ministry of a particular church body.
I have been keeping up with this guy a while and his message is consistent by the Word of God. I am as skeptical as anyone who has a ministry these days and seeing their motives but I have no disagreements with this guys doctrine.
Hebrews 1:1 negates his sense of "doctrine".

NOW..., as to whether the U.S. and its people *will do this* — that’s another question. I seriously doubt it — so I think the judgment of God will *stay in place* and the U.S. is going down...

False info. Obama did not order this. These dealers were selling, in may cases, less than 100 cars each per year or there was an oversaturation of car dealers in certain areas.
I am curious.
Has anyone explored the notion that Obama and his allies would do a little easy research and discover which dealers have supported Republican candidates and target them for closure irrespective of whether those dealers were financially stable and profitable?
Seems to me that this would be a golden opportunity for some political mechanization.
There is a lot of political contributions out there in the dealership world. I can’t see the Dimycrats passing this up

I find no "Jonah Project" in scripture nor do I find a socialized employment ministry outlined.
I do see the Word firmly against any form of a "social gospel" when-in prospperity emmantes from the Church. Actually, Judas Iscariot is a fine example of one who encourages a "social gospel". Note his outcome...
I hope you are not serious. This was not the reason the dealers were closed. Lack of production and oversaturation of dealers was the reason. American car manufactuerers no longer have the market share they once had.
My local New Holland tractor dealer lost it's franchise January 1st 2009 due to lack of production. Less farms in my area and way too many NH dealers in my area to begin with.
He was 2 1/2 miles from my house. Now I will have to take my tractor down the road to the next dealer 14 miles away. No big deal.
Pontiac, you are the only commenter close to the mark. These thousands of small-business entrepreneurs being boarded up are about as reliably Republican as any group in America, and typically are active politically and often financially support GOP candidates to state legislatures and to Congress. The Democrats know this well, and are gleefully using this “crisis” to shut down opposition.
Can’t let any crisis go to waste, you know.
I wonder ... how many of these dealerships will open in a few weeks after hauling down their GM sign with a Toyota or Subaru sign proudly sticking up over their dealership. Foreign automakers may decide that this is a crisis to good to let go to waste as well.
Even so, it’s none of Obama’s business! He has NO ROLE in determining which businesses should stay open and which should not. Whatever was happening in the auto industry was for the industry itself to correct, not the President of the United States!
Obama had no role in deterimining these dealer closings. It was based on economics.
As I mentioned my local New Holland dealer was closed for lack of production and there was too many dealers in my area. Years ago all we had was NewHolland/Ford and John Deere. Now we have a Kubota dealer down the road, Mahindra, Kyioti, Yanmar etc. Too many dealers for a small area.

Not sure which way you trend re: Obama, but his fingerprints are all over the closing of dealerships, determining how much GM can spend to market their product, etc. That is WAY beyond the scope of the Presidency and completely unconstitutional.
