Do you think the Hopi and Mayan Prophecy's are intertwined with Biblical Prophecy End Times?

What is going on with our Electromagnetic Field? it seems to be Collapsing. Is this one of the *Signs* Jesus wants us to take notice of? what about the Mayan and Hopi Prophecy's? are they also eluding to the end time events we find in the Holy Bible? (Luke 21:24-28) They shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be fed away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled. And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring: men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

Something serious is happening in the cosmos. Have a look at the magnetosphere. It appears the fields are reversed or non-existent. No magnetosphere is something we have been warned about (there has been a huge hole in it for a few years now) and it really does appear to be so:

Looks like Earth's charge is running down. No new current is flowing in. Blue lines should be on top and red lines on bottom, such as the magnetic field should dictate.

Should also be noted that there were many Gamma Ray Bursts today (10 in the past 7 days): http://grb.sonoma.edu/index.php And now this: COSMOS IS FALLING: The first fragments of shattered satellite Cosmos 2251 are about to reenter Earth's atmosphere. According to US Strategic Command, fragment 1993-036PX will reenter on March 12th, followed by 1993-036KW on March 28th and 1993-036MC on March 30th. These are probably centimeter-sized pieces that will disintegrate in the atmosphere, posing no threat to people on the ground.

Cosmos 2251 was shattered on Feb. 10th when it collided with another satellite, Iridium 33. Cosmos 2251 possessed about one and a half times more mass than Iridium 33 and to date appears to have produced more than twice the number of fragments.

We must never forget Satan’s oldest tool - plain, pure, unadulterated fear. I think people are afraid of BEING fearful, and that they won’t “pass the test” (even though God is the one who gives us the strength when the time comes - we COULDN’T do it alone). I think some worry about falling into the “trap” of believing because it will cause them to “take the red pill” and realize that they can’t pick and choose what to believe and NOT believe. I think it shakes many people out of their comfort zone to even CONSIDER any of us could be even CLOSE to the truth because it would take away their control of EVERYTHING! (Those of us who already know that GOD controls everything, and try to remember that — well, this doesn’t bother us as much).

This also incidentally ties in somewhat to the discussion you were having with another about fearmongering... I’m having trouble relating this to my family as well — these things DON’T SCARE ME!!! It’s not making me want to dig a hole, build a shelter, and hide-out. Believing these things WILL happen someday SHOULDN’T automatically mean you change everything you are doing right now.

The other interesting thing is that some people seem to think that fear is the way Christians bring people into understanding their beliefs — what a crock that is! While I admit that there are some preachers around who DO preach of fire, brimstone, hell and damnation in the classic sense (picture those poor pilgrims! LOL), I think most realize that fear, threats, etc... will NOT “bring someone around” in any real effective way. It is only through understanding truth and feeling it as it strikes a familiar note inside you — something that you recognize as a belief, or a knowledge within you — that people come to truly know God. How can one even FIND God when consumed with fear??? I’d think that would be the QUICKEST way to hitch a ride on the wrong train with your prayers! LOL

[This post didn’t turn out like I expected - I wanted to write about one thing, but these comments came up instead so I’ll just leave them! LOL Still reading through the posts and clicking links now — thanks again for the ping to the thread, it was perfect timing for me! It also occurs to me that there are clearly some here that are all thinking on that same wave-length, even to the point of this discussion calling up specific stories and examples as others are posting them (Quix & I’s exchange, and then Mary mentioned the bridesmaids in a post up-thread I hadn’t seen and I was going to mention that same story in THIS response before my comment went in another direction!)... Now, I don’t personally believe in “coincidence” really. When things start lining up in rows I start looking for some intelligent reason behind it... (The whole premise of a Coincidence doesn’t lend itself to patterns, or times of extreme concentration, but the knowledge that GOD is working behind the scenes fit MUCH better!) New-Ager’s, and philosophers, and psychologists (like Jung) speak of a “collective consciousness”, and also speak to things such as premonitions (prophecies), and they usually chalk up “coincidences” to some force in nature or the universe that is telling them to “take notice”. Christians DO believe the same thing - although we KNOW the name for that “force” - it is the HOLY SPIRIT, and that “Collective Conscious” is a part of it as well. When you truly come into communion with GOD within your heart and soul it CAN seem as though the answers to EVERY question you’ve ever had are RIGHT THERE (what some Edgar Cayce people term the “Akashic Records” - which incidentally coincides with the stories of God’s halls of records, and “Book of Life”, and the history of EVERYTHING that has or will happen...). HAH! I was trying to explain my tangential posting and ended up on another tangent! Lots of thoughts in my mind tonight on this subject! LOL]

You know..., I’ve got a theory about this 2012 date, but first...

It’s interesting that the date of 2012 keeps coming up here and there, and from all sorts of different sources. I mean, even the *non-Christians* are “getting into the act”... it seems.

It almost seems about as much frenzy about it as the Year 2000 had for a while there (of course, along with the Y2K date thing on computers, too... LOL...).

So, my theory is if this keeps building up and building up to this 2012 date, then that pretty much means, as far as the Bible is concerned — nothing is going to happen. Why do I say that?

Well, if everyone is expecting something to happen, and Christians are looking for Christ to come at that time — then it’s pretty certain that Christ won’t be coming at that time — because He’s going to come at a time when people *do not expect Him*.

And, of course, I’m not talking about every last single person in the world cannot be expecting Him or He won’t come — but rather — if there is rabid and frenetic activity in a particular year about it “being the end” (so to speak) with Christians saying that Christ is going to come in that year, too (along with the Jean Dixons, and the Aztecs, and Zoroastrianism, and the Horoscope people, along with Nostradamus) — then no — He’s *definitely* not coming then.... :-)

But, if the majority of people don’t expect Him (except maybe for a very few faithful that no one listens to) — then it’s going to be at a time like that, instead.

So I look for Christ to come when everyone is saying, “Forget about it, nothing is ever going to happen like those Christians say in the Bible...” — then that’s when He’ll be here...

Therefore these things, like I see here, sort of disappoint me, because I figure Jesus — *won’t* — be coming when the whole world is waiting for some climatic end in 2012...

SunkenCiv & Blam, I’m pinging you two because I know through the GGG list and such that you two know a LOT about this topic - so if you can shed light like a link or something on this point I would be much appreciative!

(BTW: Apologies in advance for any mistakes in relating any of the following concepts - I’m not well-educated in the area of genetics really at all, and it gets confusing for me...)

Philo-Junius mentioned that there was a time within human history that Scientists have discovered our population dwindled to a handful of females and one male (around the last Toba Supervolcano eruption). Anyway, while I am aware that they have figured out how through the Human Genome Project to trace the Mother’s Mitochondrial DNA and have at least identified a relatively small group of women as humanity’s “mothers”, I was unaware they were able to do this with any success when it came to the father’s DNA in order to isolate a specific donor (as in the one man who presumably would have mated with this handful of women to keep things going at that point).

Again, any further information on this (or even a study name so I can google more info.) would be much appreciated. This stuff I find incredibly fascinating — especially any time religion, science, and other fields of study come together and can support each other! ;-) LOL

What happens is that your fingers develop a sort of “memory’ of typing certain words (that’s a “memory” right in the fingers themselves and not in your brain).

And so, your brain thinks one way, while your fingers are going on a “memory effect” — another way. I’m pretty sure this is what happens.

With me, I’ve got another problem sometimes, in that I’m processing “syntax” from another language in my brain, and sometimes I notice the syntax and wording style comes out in my “actual typing” — while I’m really thinking something else in slightly different words.

It’s all very strange, so it’s not as “simple” as the other poster may want it to be...
