I was thinking of attending there worship. I have admired many of thier teachings on Sabbath Observance Healthy Living, Chatiable Giving and Prophetic teachings. However I am not sure if all thier doctrine is sound.
I understand Ellen G White is the founder of this church In brief, she was a woman of remarkable spiritual gifts who lived most of her life during the nineteenth century (1827-1915), yet through her writings she is still making a revolutionary impact on millions of people around the world.
During her lifetime she wrote more than 5,000 periodical articles and 40 books; but today, including compilations from her 50,000 pages of manuscript, more than 100 titles are available in English. She is the most translated woman writer in the entire history of literature, and the most translated American author of either gender.
Her writings cover a broad range of subjects, including religion, education, social relationships, evangelism, prophecy, publishing, nutrition, and management. Her life-changing masterpiece on successful Christian living, Steps to Christ, has been published in more than 140 languages. Seventh-day Adventists believe that Mrs. White was more than a gifted writer; they believe she was appointed by God as a special messenger to draw the world's attention to the Holy Scriptures and help prepare people for Christ's second advent. From the time she was 17 years old until she died 70 years later, God gave her approximately 2,000 visions and dreams.
Who are the Apostate Churches today? can they easily be recognized?. It is simple to recognize apostate teachings, such as acceptance of homosexuality or teaching another way of salvation other than Jesus Christ, but is there additional teachings of apostate we should be looking for?...If we are not observing the Saturday Sabbath are we apostate? Thoughts on this?
Paul UNEQUIVOCALLY said ONE baptism.
One.
One.
So which one is it?
Water or spirit?
LOL
You are again saying that Paul has excluded something when, in fact, Paul INCLUDED all Baptisms in his statement.
Great Dane
St. Bernard
Mastiff
Poodle
All one Species: DOG!
ALL Valid Baptisms are “Baptisms of the Spirit”
You are absurd. God will surely laugh at you.
LOL - yours is clearly bigger, but you left the safety cap on. I win ;-)

“Wow...so much error, so little time....”
The errors are all yours.
“Christs teachings were to bring Israel back to the fold...but they rejected him.”
Christ’s teachings were about Himself (revealed as the Son of God), God’s plan for all humanity (the redemption), and the gospel of the Kingdom.
“Paul taught Gentiles of Christ, those that may have heard of the Jews Messiah and those that had not.”
It is true that Paul became the Apostle to the Gentiles after Peter had first taken up that task. So what?
“So if you think those messages were the same...good for you.”
The message was the same.
Jesus and His disciples preached “the gospel of the Kingdom” (Mt. 4:23; 9:35; Mark 1:14-15) — and so did Paul — see Acts 20:21-27. The great commission has only one Gospel in view — this same “gospel of the Kingdom” (Matt. 24:14; 26:13; 28:18; Mark 13:10; 14:9; 16:15; Luke 7:22; 9:6; 20:1; Acts 8:25, preached to Samaritans; Acts 14:7,21; 15:7; 16:10). It is for Jew and Gentile (Acts 15:7; Romans 1:16; 10:12,16).
Gospel of the Kingdom,
Gospel of the Kingdom,
Gospel of the Kingdom,
Jesus and Paul taught the same gospel - the gospel of the Kingdom.
Discuss the issues all you want, but do NOT make it personal.
God wouldn’t inspire Paul to teach that there is only one baptism without need.
Your attempts to denigrate and mock me are tools that the Liberals use...and they get their playbook from Satan.
So you continue your Satanic attacks on God’s word...go ahead....it doesn’t hurt me at all...you aren’t doing battle with me, you are resisting the Word of God.
One baptism buddy. One.
I guess someone can dish but not take?
Yeah, I’ll consider myself duly chastised...Whatever.
Please cite for me all the times that Paul mentioned the Kingdom of Heaven.
Oh, he didn't? Not once?
The I guess you just don't know what you're talking about.
Perhaps that is because Paul was teaching about the Church of the Body of Christ.
How many times did Jesus mention that?
Oh, not once?
Dang, I knew I should have taken that Krupp’s safety course. Good Sabbath to you.
It is you who sees division, when none exists.
Baptism does not stop being Baptism just because something is added to it.
As long as each Baptism contains the correct elements, any additional or ceremonial or spiritual elements do not void the Baptism.
You think I am being harsh? You are posting trash that would disqualify the majority of those who call themselves Christian from entering into Heaven.
In effect, you have said “go to Hell” and you expect to have polite conversation.
You are on the wrong track. I am not so arrogant as to claim I know the status of your soul, or its final destination, but I do hope that you meet with God and he has a chance to explain his amusement with you, over your rules for HIS house!
Of course, that would be after a long and happy life.
Think of it this way: If you were to list the top 100 things that God would want you to know, about the Christian Faith, I doubt that your technical legalisms would rank much higher than the priorities of the Pharisees, even if it turns out that you are 100% correct. What is appalling, to me, is that you would think God so petty as to reduce entrance into Heaven to such trivial matters.
The 10 commandments are nor living and breathing to me , they are like the USC. Literal.
I also believe it's perfectly ok with God for Christians to have opinions about right and wrong in God's eyes as practiced by fellow Christians and others.
This new notion of no judgment has been watered down to no opinion basically and means no one stand for anything but the ever ambiguous notion of love.
Let's just toss behavior and responsibility out the window...the very tenets of what has made Christendom so special and effective.
Just compare the non Christian world with us.
Glad to know you're not all kumbaya.
re: “soul sleep”
I’m surprised to find this belief quite prevalent. It’s a contradiction to the Communion of Saints, and I think it possible that part of its growth is in its appeal there - versus the Catholic intercessory prayers to saints.
That’s merely my theory.
Ah.. you finally got to my tag line. :)
Well done. I appreciate your effort and completeness in this post.
So did Isaiah call Jesus the Mighty God, the Everlasting Father, or not? Or do you just prefer to call me names?
I think we are in agreement. Belief and trust in Christ is the key to any true religion. It is the cornerstone of our salvation and there is no other way to enter into heaven, that I believe and I think you do also.
People have been translating Jesus' words for many centuries now...No one that you know is going to come up with a new, better translation than what's already out there...
So if the verses I quoted don't mean what they appear to say, WHAT DO THEY MEAN???

So you’re saying it comes down to a rate of word usage? Are you serious? If you’re not a Christian, and therefore, want to make up or believe nonsense about Jesus and Paul being opposed to one another, that’s one thing. If you’re a Christian, then you can’t believe that Jesus believed and taught something about salvation different than His Apostle to the Gentiles.
Why don’t you just read J. Sanday’s article, “St. Paul’s Equivalent for the ‘Kingdom of Heaven’ in the Journal of Theological Studies, (1900) Vol. os-I, 481-491,?
“The I guess you just don’t know what you’re talking about.”
No, clearly you’re the one who doesn’t know what he’s talking about.
“Perhaps that is because Paul was teaching about the Church of the Body of Christ.”
Paul taught what Jesus taught. Since more was known and understood AFTER the coming of the Holy Spirit to the Apostles, it should be no surprise that Paul teaches some mysteries in more detail than Christ. They still teach the same things.
“How many times did Jesus mention that?”
Christ taught about the Church, but since His life on this Earth ended shortly after He established the Church, it should be no surprise that little is recorded of that teaching.
“Oh, not once?”
No, Christ taught about the Church. And He even taught that someone who hears the Church hears Him. If that isn’t the Body of Christ, then what is it? Apparently you have never read either Matthew 18: 15-18 or Luke 10-16.

You first speak of something less then a “full cult”, which by definition means there is something that can be less then a full cult.
Then you say that what you said can not be so.
Your internal confusion is sticking out, you seem to be falling into the habit of scholarly thinking about God instead of receiving of His guidance.
For instance, I keep getting the quote about the “narrow way” when I point out that no true theologians agree with the SDA on doctrine.
Well, even if All authentic Christian Churches are correct, in their own way, not all of their members truly follow the faith, and when you look at atheists, Moslems, Buddhists, Hindu's etc, the true Christian path does, indeed, seem “narrow”.
I am done with this thread, you can respond again to have the last word, if you want, but I was really not trying to give anyone a forum to prove his or her own stupidity.
I am quite confident that God cares very little about the details you keep trying to hammer away at, here.
Therefore, I should not care, either.
