My dear grandson is receiving the holy sacrament of Baptism this Sunday. I ask for your prayers for his blessing, but I ask you to also pray for his father, my son, to fully receive God's grace. Although I raised him in the faith, my son has been away from the faith since his late teens.
The act of choosing to have his first child baptized, I pray, is my son's first step in coming back to the fold rather than just a social event.
Praise and glory to our LordJesus Christ.
Prayers all around.
Special prayers going up!!!
There is HOPE for your son! Praying for all. He WILL have his “Come to Jesus” moment. Please pray for my 18 year old son who is “resisting” his upbringing.
I’ll pray for everybody, of course.
You may like to know that it was our son’s choice to get himself baptized, at age 7, that began the process of leading his father back into the church after many years of the bitterest atheism. Our son wanted his father to witness the baptism so my ex sighed deeply and went—and there heard a sermon that touched his hard heart. The Lord used this child. May the same thing happen to your son.
Amen! The Lord Jesus said: “And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them. And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 18:2-4)
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you. Prayers sent for your “rebel”. I know how that feels.
Lovely tale — the little child led him. Thanks for your prayers and for sharing your story.
Do not dispair.
I also fell away from my faith in my late teens.
I didn't come back until my 40's.
I am now, once again, in prayer, in study of the Bible, active in my church, and, once again, in a personal relationship with God and Jesus.
Prayer BUMP
My prayers are up to God through St. Augustine for your son.
Prayers sent and congrats!
Thank you.
Oh, I don’t despair because I have my Lord, but, still, I fret somewhat. Thanks.
Thank you.
Blessings of St. Augustine are always welcome. My mother always admired St. Monica so because she patiently prayed for her son all those years.
May The Lord bless you and keep you; May the Lord lift up his countenance upon you, and give you peace. |

Your son is still a Catholic. Perhaps your grandson will bring his dad back to the faith. I pray this happens.
