Why are you trying to create a criticism thread against Mormons? For what purpose?
What? You’ve got something against the angel Moron? And the miraculously disappearing gold plates?
Virtual Guillotine time.
Whatchu talkin bout Willis?
So, what’s the topic? Or are we just to post anything we think is stupid about Mormonism?
Well I can say that I believe mormonism is wrong, but I don’t think it’s sill; your eternal soul is no laughing matter..and I can ally with Mormons politically but the Bible warns about those that go messing with “the Good Book” (adding or removing scripture or changing its meaning around)!
A "service?"
What bothers me is how theologians can't promote their beliefs; they have to play like liberals and bring others down.
And no, I have not been to church in years....
I'm normally a live and let live kind of person, but the activities of some of the Mormons on Free Republic are really making me angry. This is NOT a Mormon website, it is a conservative website. I'm getting sick to death of having all these "Mormon devotional" threads in my face all the time.
If you feel the need, post your Mormon feelings, devotionals, readings and speeches, by all means do it.... on a Mormon website. When you post on Free Republic, you are acting as agent provacateurs.
I do not bombard you with my church, what the heck makes you think it is even remotely reasonable for you to do it to me.... or any of the other non-Mormon conservatives on this site?
Why thank you sir. Thank you very much. Now I would like to add I have put on my magic jammies, made myself a temple approved cup on non caffeinated hot lemon water and lets go, off to the races. Here is something weird to consider, look at this dormitory...
http://www.nauvoohouse.com/index.cfm This wonderfull place has amenities such as “The lobby area of the complex is dedicated to the early Saints who founded the city of Nauvoo. Original life size statues (busts) of the Prophet Joseph and his wife Emma are on permanent display surrounded by pictures of every Latter-day Prophet. This area will be open to students to come and listen to beautiful music as they ponder their rich blessings and heritage. Every bedroom in the complex has a picture of a Latter-day Temple following the Prophet’s desire that we have pictures of temples in our homes” OH BOY what I wouldn’t trade to give up my own college dorm experience and live there! >s
Don’t suppose you’re going to start one for the other religions are you? They all have “Caucus” threads too.
Are the “Flying Inmans” aware of this thread? (I’m a charter member)
I have a serious question about Mormons, perhaps someone can answer -
many spend two years on missions, attempting to convert people to Mormonism. Why?
As a Bible believing Christian, I try to share the gospel with whoever I perceive to be around that I might have an opportunity with. My motivation is to glorify God, and to have compassion on non-Christians, because I do think they will go to hell if they do not trust in Christ.
Is this the Mormon’s motivation also, or do they collect some sort of benefit like the Jehovah’s Witnesses, who believe that the more hours they spend passing out Watchtowers, the more likely they’ll be among the 144,000 special saints?
Mormons, ex-Mormons, and those who know them, why the two year mission? What is the ultimate motivation?
I was just wondering with all the Mormon threads I see popping up every day has FR become a defacto Mormon site?
It would not qualify for a caucus anyway, because a caucus must not speak against or in behalf of any other belief.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Tell me it aint so
:(
This is going to be a long thread. Bye bye, all!
How abou tthe guy who struggles to catch his breath after having his head cut off (Ether 15:31).
And it came to pass that after he had smitten off the head of Shiz, that Shiz raised up on his hands and afell; and after that he had struggled for breath, he died.
Are Mormons really a threat to you....really? Last I checked they weren't trying to convert you at the point of a sword or butcher your women in honor killings.
Does it really matter that their version of God is different from yours?
I regret to announce that you have failed in your effort to write the dumbest post of the quarter. However, I applaud you for your valiant effort to do so.
Please don’t despair, you were very close to coming in on top and you should have every reason to believe that you could come in as the winner next time.
Even though you have not walked away with the prize, you must feel very proud about all the good you are doing. Your talent and competitive spirit is quite amazing, to some I suppose.
This non-Mormon, will wait with bated breath for your next valiant, self sacrificing, and ‘oh so witty’ attempt to win the ‘dumbest post’ award.
I must confess. When I began my long list of hobbies, “screwing with folks over their religion” just never occurred to me. Perhaps it was the threat of beatings from those evil Roman Catholic nuns that kept me from achieving such high and admirable goals. Regrets, so many regrets.....
I must admit, I really don’t like those whose religion says it’s ok to cut off my loved ones heads though. I wonder, when folks get bored with mugging Mormons, will those head chopping religions become important again.
Oh heck, maybe I missed an important article and it has already been reported that the Mormons plan to cut off our heads and force the Baptists to eat them.
Ain’t it just amazing as all get out, over all that power those silly Mormons have on us innocent and pure folks? Bet they can actually bend minds.
To think of all the wasted time I spent as a kid, looking under my bed for the Boogeyman man, when I should have been looking for an evil Morman.... scares me just to think about it. Maybe I got infected by them and just don’t know it yet.
Ok, now I am starting to see the point of your thread and the Mormon bashing. Well damn.... you bet, those damn stinking Mormons... we should have known.
My mom told me about strangers and the importance of wearing clean underwear before going to town, but NO, she never ever told me about those evil Mormons.... I wonder why?
