Do Angels Exist? (A miracle and a picture have many asking this question)
WBTV ^ | Dec 20, 2008

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - A "miracle" at one local hospital has a lot of people talking.

This picture was taken in the hallway leading into Presbyterian's Pediatric Cancer center.

A little girl there was taken off life support, her mother in her room praying. At the same time, a nurse noticed a man standing in the hallway. When she pushed the security button to let him in, no one was there.

According to a nurse, this happened several times -- seeing him behind the doors, then he would vanish.

Someone thought he had wings, so they took the picture (on the right) of the security camera.

The girl is home tonight, recovering. Her birthday is Christmas Day.

So what do you think? Is this an angel caught on tape?

People believe this is an angel because they WANT to believe it is, not for any evidence presented. Its fun to claim this is an angel and not just a blurry light or reflection.

I don't know what it is, I'm just saying I don't think it's merely the reflection of florescent lights. If that's what it was, it would be there every day.

Uh oh, precocious, fearless and adventurous, a terrifying combination for your parents and your guardian angel!

A friend of mine has always had a sense of doom about him, as if he subconciously thinks he’s lived longer than he should. I mentioned this observation once. He told me his mother told him when he was two he was saved from a house fire by a black man and given to a neighbor for safety. No one else ever saw the man.

>> Could you tell us (and perhaps show us) all what angels do look like? <<

Read the bible.

That’s one of the sweetest thing I’ve ever heard expressed from father to child and the sentiments returned.

You can’t imagine....LOL!

As just one of the milder examples, as a teen, I attempted “Roman riding”, which is where you stand on the backs of two separate horses as they gallop along.

Trouble was, I was doing this using a 16 hand Quarter Horse and 10 hand Shetland pony.
[24 inch difference in shoulder height]

Thanks to my sorta unusual “flexibility”, everything was going pretty well...until I attempted to take them over a 2 foot high jump.

That little ill-considered equestrian experiment didn’t work out too well.

*shrug*

You learn to tuck and roll when you hit....:)

Then...there were the ~trees~.

Nobody could keep me out of trees and I had a special disregard of heights reserved only for birds and complete idiots*.

*footnote: I am *not* a bird, therefore....;]

There are thousands more examples such as the above...most of which my parents are *still* blissfully unaware.....so “Shhhhh!”

Just when I got “old enough to settle down some”, hubby got me a Harley.
The parental units are fidgety....again.
[but they had no idea what was going on up on the mountain with me and the Polaris Sportsmen, pre-Harley]

;-D

[come to think of it, I’d have done really well on “Jack Ass”]...LOL!

I was a daddy’s girl...who was brought up to shoot, hunt, ride, bale hay, drive heavy equipment, etc etc etc.

Mine isn’t really a standard “girl’s life”.

I was his “sidekick” so I reckon you’d say we’re tight...:)

In addition to the massive damage incurred on the entire right side of my brain, I have absolutely *no* frontal lobe left.

So that's why you contribute to Conservative sites. ;^) God bless and Merry Christmas.

Just curious, the picture appears to have been taken from at least a 10 ft. elevation aiming down..........

I seem to remember an older report out of Vietnam, in the early days of the war. I’m probably not accurately reporting it, but this is what I remember.

A village of Montagnards was about to come under attack from a VC regular unit, without any American or French support. A group of them were in their village church, praying for deliverance by His hand in glory of Him as He saw fit.

About that time, the first of the 120mm mortar rounds (I believe) fell near the church. The VC infantry were approaching the village on line, then halted, and redirected their movement around the village.

Several days or weeks later, a VC prisoner was being interrogated by American forces and asked him why they ceased their attack on the Montagnard village. According to the prisoner, they were going to attack, had fired their first mortar round, when they saw a company of what they thought were US Special Forces in white radiant uniforms, all very large men, well equipped, and determined their battalion would be outnumbered if they attacked, so they diverted their attack and went around the village.

This went up the chain of command a bit, verifying who else might be in the arena for the Intel operatives and analysts to better form their threat analysis. The US forces and intel community at that time and allies, had no other forces anywhere near the area. They all thought the villages would simply have become casualties of war, which they were unable to prevent their destruction.

Further queries indicated the attacking forces apparently had witnessed a company of angels in white robes, radiant, guarding the village. Inside the village, the Montagnards had assembled in the village church praying for Divine assistance, but none of the Montagnards witnessed any of the angels, but did see the enemy Bn approaching and had verified the single mortar round landing nearby and they were thinking all was about to be lost, except to remain in faith in Christ.

One particular note about angels, ...they do not seek glory for themselves, but for the glory of Jesus Christ (at least the elect angels do). If one does happen upon an angel who seeks to glorify themselves, or the adulation of men, as opposed to only glorifying our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus, then the encounter is more than likely that with a fallen angel or other creature.

Hard to tell in this thread’s photo, but if it is inded and angel, then if elect, then we are to glorify the Son and not the particular angel. A Different domain than that of men.

If it were lights reflecting, it would be reproducible. If it were sunlight, it would be reproducible. If it were otherworldly, there is no reason to assume that our technology could capture an image vibrating on a certain frequency. It could be mere coincidence or it could be miraculous. Faith is faith, unguided by scientific evaluation or theory. Something out of the ordinary occurred. One might as well accept it as what it is.

Yes, angels do exist. Proof of them is found elsewhere from photo evidence, though.

Thanks ntny. I am open minded about this, have read too many stories of Near Death Experiences to totally dismiss this story.

Experiences told by young children are hard to refute. So - I remain open minded on all aspects.
