Today starts the trial of the murderer of the granddaughter of a dear friend. She was killed by an on again, off again boyfriend, who claims that it was an accident.

My friend and her family have not been dealing well with their sorrow and feelings of guilt that they did not know how dangerous this man was.

Please offer a prayer for them as they go through this terrible ordeal.

No one should feel guilty about a lack of knowledge. I doubt he introduced himself to the family with "Hi, my names Bob and I'm abusive and dangerous." Hindsight is a lot better than foresight, and I hope they come to understand this and realize that the only guilty party is the perp himself.
