University of Minnesota professor Paul Z. Myers made good on his pledge to desecrate the Eucharist today. According to his statement on the subject, I pierced it [the Host] with a rusty nail (I hope Jesuss tetanus shots are up to date). And then I simply threw it in the trash.
Saying he did not want to single out just the cracker, Myers also tore pages from the Koran along with a few pages from Richard Dawkins The God Delusion and nailed them to the Host. He then said, They are just paper. Nothing must be held sacred. (His emphasis.) Question everything. God is not great, Jesus is not your lord, you are not disciples of any charismatic prophet.
Catholic League president Bill Donohue responded as follows:
A formal complaint against Myers has already been made. What he didin both word and deedconstitutes a bias incident, as defined by the University of Minnesota. The policy says that Expressions of disrespectful bias, hate, harassment or hostility against an individual, group or their property because of the individual or groups actual or perceived race, color, creed, religion can be forms of discrimination. Expressions vary, and can be in the form of language, words, signs, symbols, threats, or actions that could potentially cause alarm, anger, fear, or resentment in others even when presented as a joke.
The University must now take action and apply the appropriate sanction. We are contacting the president, Board of Regents and the Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Office at the school, as well as Minnesotas governor and both houses of the state legislature; the Catholic community in Minnesota is also being contacted. Moreover, we are also contacting Muslim groups nationwide.
It is important for Catholics to know that the University of Minnesota will not tolerate the deliberate destruction of the Eucharist by one of its faculty. Just as African Americans would not tolerate the burning of a cross, and Jews would not tolerate the display of swastikas, Catholics will not tolerate the desecration of the Eucharist.

Wise move to include the Koran, heh heh. Ask Salmon Rushdie how that works out.
He’s a coward. He wants the “credit”/”fame” without taking the risk.
“Saying he did not want to single out just the cracker,
“Jesus was a cracker???? I thought he was a middle eastern Jew.”
Yeah, and a Jewish carpenter. But of course you knew that.
when the religion of peace learns about his treatment of the koran, he better purchase a steel locking neck collar.
And we should also protest that. It is unacceptable behavior. I am no fan of Muhammadanism, in fact I am totally opposed to it, but we must reject the blatant abuse of their sacred objects. If we only object to his abuse of our sacred objects and then look the other way when he does it to others we are as much of hypocrites as he is.
So far we have not (to my knowledge) had anyone even try to go toward the door.
Several of our members have stopped people who have tried to perform intinction (Dipping the Host into the blood), as well as telling someone that they needed to consume, NOW!
It is amazing how quickly someone will consume if you are standing next to them in a pew and all eyes of the congregation are on them.
I don't think we are allowed to physically restrain them.
On a semi light note one of our 4th degree knights has a physical disability and when he brought the host to his mouth, the extra ordinary minister thought he had palmed it. Our Grand Knight was observing, and the woman told him that she thought the other man had not consumed. The Grand Knight assured her he had, but she kept insisting. Finally the Grand Knight told her the man was a fellow Knight and he was certain he had consumed.
We all had a chuckle about it later.
Another one to add:
Marcus Aurelius Caesar
Marcus Aurelius considered doctrines as vicious and dangerous to the welfare of the state. A law was passed under his reign, punishing every one with exile who should endeavor to influence people’s mind by fear of the Divinity, and this law was, no doubt, aimed at the Christians. Over 48 Christians were killed in the persecution in Lyons, which occurred in 177 AD during his reign.
The result: He is now DEAD!
After the Muslim retaliation, he’ll find out if he is in error or not.
Aha! Interesting point. Kudos.
I agree. Anyway, this professor is in sore need of prayers. What a sad life he must have, to be so hateful.
. . . I should talk, though, any firstborn who is male in our family is named "Nimrod". I have FOUR cousins with that name. My husband was adamant that 'no son of mine is going to be named Nimrod!' 'Not even as a middle name?' 'No way!' We averted a real crisis by having a girl first.
CAIR has been notified.
They are VERY interested! :-)
3 AngelaD gave us this link to hilarity:
Check out his family.

OH MY!
HAHAHAHA
I’m sure that as a student of evolution, he realizes that this page is documentary proof that, if the theory is true, the process hasn’t progressed all that far!
Of their location, he says, “We live about as far away from everything as you can possibly get.”
This is a VERY good thing! I don’t know about you, but there are enough scary things in my neighborhood without this WEIRD FAMILY of MOONBATS moving in!
How long did it take the kids to learn how to spell their names?
HYSTERICAL!
any clue as to how to pronounce his kids’ names?
IMHO, once the clown touched the host, it ceased to be sacred. (Note: This is the unofficial doctrinal position of Dttto only, and not of the the Holy Roman Catholic Church).
But considering the relatively recent death toll (many hundreds) when Newsweek Magazine falsely reported a story of desecration by US military personnel of the Koran at Club GITMO, I thought it may well be fair and balaned to report a documented, self-confessed, discretion of the same sacred book by this publicity-seaking educational establishment drone.
If a false Newsweek story could cause a a bloodbath, this guy's self confession should at minimum get a ripple. Don't you think?
Do they have an Islamic Students Association at the College? Just curious.
I just today went to a friends funeral who did at the age of 25 in a car wreck. He had a Catholic funeral. Even thought I am not Catholic I would NEVER do anything to offend my brethern in Christ. It was a lovely but sad funeral. Someone like this creep makes me sick. I know I should not let such people bother me as Christ told us we would suffer such persecution. It is just sad that it now happens in the land of the free in the NAME of Free Speech. I will pray for the guy. I would like to call him a fool but I think there is a verse in the Bible telling me not do do so.
