"For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst" Matthew 18:20 For some time, through FReepmail, several FReepers have provided each other with a way to share prayer requests and praises.
Now that the Non-denominational category has been established, we are offering a weekly thread in which posts of your requests and praises are welcome.
Anyone, regardless of denomination, is welcome to bring their concerns here.
The one thing that we hope to establish here, is that at a set time on Sunday evening, 11:00 p.m. in the Eastern time zone, 10:00 p.m. Central time, 9:00 p.m. Mountain time, and 8:00 p.m. Pacific time, we will as a group, lift these concerns up in prayer. Individual prayer at any time is, of course, encouraged.
From freeper GRRRRR:
I don't do prayer requests very well, but a dear friend of ours needs one. Their grandson has a Schwannoma tumor on the vagus nerve and will be undergoing surgery on July 25 .
Their Dr. wants to remove it before it grows into the brain stem or chest area. This is a very rare tumor for an adult to have let alone a child. There have only been a handful of these surgeries done. They will not know until they get inside if this growth is on the side of the nerve or surrounding the mass.
Please Pray for Aaron, and his dad Jason, mom Gina and the rest of their family. We have known these guys for many years, I knew Jason when he was a young man.

Then
UPDATE!!
Aarons voice box is working just the way it should. He was a real trooper, even though his little body was visibly shaking. They sprayed something up his nose (3xs) and told him it wouldnt taste good, and when the 3rd time came he said that was enough, but the Dr. said Aaron, I really think you need me to do this one more time, so he told the Dr. he was ready.
MOM) Gina said he talked non stop to the Drs about everything he had done this week and when they left asked if they could get ice-cream!
Dr. also said he couldnt get over how much he can move this tumor around so were taking that as a really good thing!
Aaron is handling the upcoming surgery as a great adventure and tells people Its the 1st. surgery Ive ever had in my whole life. So with all your prayers were ready to roll on the 25th.
Blessings and Love to you all,
From Aarons Gma and Gda

From freeper tajgirvan: May I ask you to pray for my son, Matt? He just texted us that he was being rushed to the hospital and would contact us when he could. He is in California and we are in Georgia.
He is saved and attends Calvary Chapel. He fractured his leg 2 weeks ago at his churchs retreat.
Thank you with all my heart and may God bless you.

And from svcw: My daughter just called and the doctor has put her on complete bed rest, as her blood pressure has elevated.
She is 33.5 weeks and the baby is healthy and big.
The doctor is great and has told her that he will see her every other day to monitor her condition.
Anyway, do not know when I will have time to post or reply.
The power of prayer!!!!
At one o'clock pst the doctor told my daughter she had all the indications of pre eclapmsia and at four o'clock she said well.......but still be on bed rest.
My daughter went to the docs this am and the doctor told her according to the tests that she had pre eclampsia (mild) and to go on complete bed rest.
About two o'clock he rechecked her just to make sure and she has zero symptoms - zero zip nada ,,, but he wants her to stay on complete bed rest and I am still going to be with her.
The power of prayer. We need to also pray for the doctor because needless to say he is confused. He is a good man and wants to monitor my daughter every other day for the next week.
Thank you again for all your prayers.

We pray for the Lords Peace that passes all understanding to descend and hold the wife, children, and close friends of Tony Snow in their days of grief and feelings of loss.
And urgent updating from freeper Phathead: November 20, 2006
More than two years ago, I asked for your prayers for my son, who was undergoing treatment for a malignant brain tumor. His treatment at the time, though physically brutal, was successful. However, Austin's cancer has returned, and he will be going back into radiation and chemo soon - he had surgery last week.
and a mixed blessing update:
July 12, 2008
There is not much to say, but I wanted to post this brief update. Austin received the Sacrament of Confirmation in May. I think that time is now growing short - whether that means weeks or still months I do not know. The Lord has blessed Austin with a special Grace which brings strength to his mother and to me. Whether He blesses Austin also with either healing or with peace, His will be done. I thank you all for your continued prayers.
Folks, you are hearing the Spirit of the Lord when you read His will be done from a loving father regarding his son he loves so dearly. We gathered in His name ask the Lord to heal and use Austin!
From the week of June 29th: Smokin'Joe has a prayer request: "I am asking FReepers to join me in prayer for Emily, whose husband was killed in an accident on the oil rig on which he was working. She is left with their two year old and is on her way to Wyoming to make arrangements.
The following is from our previous weeks list. Ill try to make comments in italics, to stay out of the way: ;^)
"Please pray for a dear Christian friend of mine, his family, and his 19 month old daughter who fell into a pool and is on life support. She is not expected to survive. Thank you." 159 posted on Tuesday, July 01, 2008 8:14:28 PM by pby [I have not seen further information on this little one. Please, continue to hold this baby up and pray for the family who must be crushed!]
We lift colorcountry and her family up in prayer ... My father in law has been sent home from the hospital today to die. His brain tumor has won. I will be spending some of the following nights at the home of my in-laws to help provide comfort and care during his final days. Please cover me with prayer, and continue to cover the threads with the word of God. I am at times, soooo tired. It has been a very busy and full two weeks for me.
Tennessee Nana: A Nana has asked us to pray for her grandson, Michael.. For the past 3 years Michael has suffered from a staph infection. He has been in several GA and TN hospitals and many different medicines have been tried.. Right now he is back in hospital and about to start a new regime of medicines. The doctors are puzzled about the origins of the infection and are nonplussed to treat it.. Michael is 17 and will be a senior in high school this year..He is a Christian, a good student and has a full time summer job.. I have know his Nana for several years..She is a sweet Christian lady who loves her family and has faith in Jesus for the complete healing of Michael.. This nice young man has the right as a believing Christian to be free of this affliction.. In Jesus Name.. He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions. Psalm 107:20 [Again, we have not had an update on Michaels condition. ]
Marysecretary: Please pray for a little boy named Spencer Rollins who is around three years old. You cannot imagine the surgeries, infections, serious fungal infections this little one has had. Hes on dialysis now, hes in a lot of pain and theres so much more. His mom is pregnant again and they have suffered greatly watching their little one go through so much. I cant begin to tell you what hes been through. The parents know the Lord and He has greatly sustained them but its so hard for them right now.
And more on Spencer:
Marysecretry: I just want to thank everyone for their prayers. Spencer is really doing well. Hes eating baby food now (pray they wont put a gastro tube in him) and his kidneys are almost normal. Doctors are amazed? Should WE be? NO because were praying for him. Keep up the good work. [
Lets continue to lift this little one to the Lord for his full delivery to health and wellbeing.]
Prayers for freeper LADYAK; her son was swept out to sea and is missing. There is a tribute website:www.jeremyearnshaw.com. [Please seek the Lords Peace that passes all understanding for our fellow freeper and her family.]
rightazrain: For next Sunday nights prayer meeting Im asking for prayers for Walts widow, Louise. Specifically that all her needs be met. She is a strong woman, but now is facing financial trials because of the loss of Walts social security income. [We will lift up Louise to the Lords provision for we know by what He taught us that widows and orphans are particularly important in His sight.]
We will not forget to lift up metmom for the Lords healing of her allergic reactions to foods and other daily contact things. He made us and He knows how to remake us for His purposes. Here is the previous request
and we are instructed to persist in asking, the Bible teaches the principle, lest we slack off in our requests to Him.
We have a private request: I am asking for intercessory prayer for a freeper, for those of you are blessed by this ability. It is a private request. The person is having terrible difficulties of faith. No job and living off credit, no family support (financially or other), they are becoming increasingly isolated and depressed. Although this person is reaching out they do need intercessory prayer. Thank you. I know that the Lord will provide these people to lift this person up.
Prayer ping for the gathering together as some are able ...
Ping, m’Lady. Can you give us an update on Michael’s staph infection?
Thanks for the PING mhg! blessings on you! will be praying.
Ping-a-ling-a-ling
Will be praying and please include a mother of 3 teens going in for surgery tomorrow and the teens. Thanks.
Adding to the list right now!
A man from our church was in an accident today on his way to church. He was rushed to Syracuse and found he had broken some bones in his left arm. Don’t know if there’s anything else going on inside. His wife is pregnant with their fourth child and due soon. Please pray for Brian.
Michael is about the same, but out of hospital...
My friend Martha is about 70 and has developed something the doctor called “baker cyst” on her leg...
It’s painful and swollen, and she asked us to pray for her..
(Baker cyst: A swelling in the space behind the knee (the popliteal space) composed of a membrane-lined sac filled with synovial fluid that has escaped from the joint. Baker cyst is named after the British surgeon William Morrant Baker (1839-1896). Also called a synovial cyst of the popliteal space.)
Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. 3 John 1:2
Prayers will be going ‘up’ for Brian, his pregnant wife and their children (including that little one still so close to God’ s face while in His mother’s womb).
Will do, Nana. It is such a joy to gather in His name and know by the Spirit that He is in our midst as we petition His Grace toward these in need. ... Heading for ‘the prayer closet’
Thank you. We found out about it while in church so we stopped the service to pray for him right away. Looks like he’ll be okay, but he’ll be out of work for a long time and that will hurt them financially.
prayer ping
I'd like to request some prayers:
My Mother Mary W, who appears to have had another TIA (ministroke). She had an MRI Thursday, and will get the results Thursday. She is only alive thanks to the Grace of God, having had Thyroid Cancer in the 1970’s while she was in her 40’s. She's been free of that cancer, although she struggles with alcohol and had neuropathy and several TIA’s. I think she had another several weeks ago, and I fear it will be a downward spiral from here. If her conditions is the Lord's will, pray for me, that I (and my siblings) have the strength to deal with what's to come.
My friend Betty has breast cancer, and has moved on from the chemo and started radiation therapy. She's so tired she want so quit, but continues to work. I've asked the Good Lord to cast his healing powers over her.
And last — my friend Kevin, in his 30’s with Waldstrom’s disease. Since his diagnosis and treatment he feels better, but the test results don't really show that. He needs the strenghth and perseverence to take his medications regularly, as well as the healing that only the Lord can provide.
I've seen how the prayers of many can help those in need, and all those on this thread and others are in my prayers as well. Thank you to all those who quietly pray for their fellow believers.
I agree
In Jesus Name
Amen
Thank you for the Ping, my Sister in Christ, and I have Bookmarked the Thread, and will Lift these Needs before our Lord in my Bedtime Prayers. May His Loving Hand Bring Mercies, Healing, and Grace to All these Dear Ones.
Carolyn
Thank you...
I agree, in the Lovely Name of Jesus
Martha is a sweet woman of God who sits with me at church...
We’ve been friends for many years....
She is usually in good health...
So when she complains of an ache etc, she is really sick..
