Trust in Rome if ye wish, it will burn when the Lord’s judgment comes on the Earth.

Where does it say this in the Bible?

According to the prevailing opinion of Catholic haters, there was no Catholic Church in Rome during the Apostolic Age. Peter was in Babylon according to the bigots.

Perhaps you should just find another 19th Century excretion to post.

I assume ye ask where does the Bible record that Rome will burn? Here: “But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.” 2 Peter (who was NOT a pope) 3:7.

Uh -- huh!!! These must have all happened before Padre discovered his gift of bilocation, right???

You are not alone in your distrust of these spiritual gifts. Bernard C. Ruffin, a Protestant minister set out to investigate the extraordinary claims about Padre Pio. Here is the result.

As one reviewer wrote:

I approached this book with some hesitation, given its length and the conroversial nature of its subject. Having read other lives of saints that lacked critical perspective about sources, I was wary of this one at first. All of my doubts were dispelled by the abundance of carefully assembled evidence in this volume. Pio is a saint for all of us, as this book makes clear. You will learn much about the spiritual world here, and gain some valuable lessons about the limitations of more "worldly" perspectives than those of Pio. Your life will permanently change for the better as a result.

ok...so let me get this straight-—by your interpretation of this one passage-—God is going to destroy non-Baptist Christians?

most of the claims against Padre Pio date from around that period, actually. I believe many of the accusations leveled at him originated from a few hostile Catholic prelates, who were either jealous or scared of this humble little friar.

I think that is because most English pirates lived in that general time period, so that arcane form of English would be normal

***Jesus Himself was considered a fraud by many, as well.***

Are you saying Jesus=Pio?

I stopped reading your post right there.

***He was persecuted in life and now in death. Satan feared him while alive and physically attacked Padre Pio in his cell. That alone should be an indication this great saint’s holiness.***

The same can be said about Luther.

no, he was pointing out that even Christ had accusers.

Way to read things into someones post that weren’t even implied.
