I am no Mormon, and after learning the things that I have (more than 30 years ago) about that particular segment of society it was clear that I never could or would be at all part of it.

That said, it appears to me that many FReepers hold an irrational hatred for Mormons which became evident after the Presidential campaign of Mitt Romney seemed viable.

I would hesitate calling it hatred, Radix. Some of us object to their calling themselves Christian when they so obviously are not. If they’d stop doing that, you’d see less people objecting.

Other than getting irritated when they insist upon calling themselves “christian” I hold them no ill will and was planning to vote for Mitt before he dropped out leaving us with....well what we’re left with.

It's not hatred, but if you've been to the rodeo and been bucked-off, the lesson is learned....
