Hi everyone....I received an email this afternoon from a Freeper who wishes to remain anonymous.
Part of the email reads as follows, with PRIVATE info removed...
"Dad is back in the hospital, with a confirmed stroke, and as of a couple hours ago, was diagnosed with a brain contusion and bleeding. He will be having brain surgery in the morning."
So...if you could ask for prayers for a FReeper's Dad, his name is Gary, he will be having brain surgery Thursday morning...he has a brain contusion, with a tear, bleeding, and fluid. (I don't know what any of this means.)
I WILL be able to post updates, as will trussell...and no, this isn't for trussell....we both hold prayer ping lists. :)
Dear Lord God, we come before you now, collectively, to pray for this dear Freeper's Dad. Please Lord, put your hand on Gary, please heal him of all illnesses in his body. Please guide the medical team who will work on him, giving them wisdom.
Lord, Gary's a Christian, he walks with you...please stay by his side now. Comfort his family...In Your Name, Amen!

So many FRiends prayed for my dad, when he was so ill.
I can’t tell you how much those prayers meant. I would sit here, weeping, as I read all the warm support, and couldn’t respond, except with a “Thank You” to our Heavenly Father for sending so many loving hearts my way, when it was really needed.
I return those prayers, now, as I pray for Gary and his family who loves him so much. I also pray for the doctors, the nurses, the anesthesiologist, the attendants, the aids, and even the housekeeping staff that cleans his room. They all play such an important part in total success of the outcome of Gary’s surgery. Thank you Lord for your willingness to hear and answer our prayers! Amen

Thanks, everyone...one last bump for prayers b/4 I fall into bed.
It sounds like he fell, and developed bleeding around his brain (usually a subdural hematoma). This often looks just like a stroke on examination, and can be caused if you have a small stroke and fall (just to confuse things).
If they drain the clot, the person might or might not get better. If the clot is small, they will watch it. If the clot is too large, the brain might swell and cause death even with surgery.
On the other hand, sometimes taking the clot out leads to complete recovery. My aunt had a clot removed, and did fine.
