Canada has absolutely no laws regulating abortion at all.
Sigh.
Roe v. Wade did not “legalize” abortion in the US. It struck down the laws in certain states. Some states, like California, where Ronald Reagan signed a bill legalizing it, already had legal abortion. Some states did not ban it completely but restricted it. Each state set it’s own laws.
Roe v. Wade struck down all state laws banning abortion during the first three months of pregnancy. It allowed some restrictions during the second trimester, and allowed states to ban all 3rd trimester abortions except where the was medical risk to the mother.
Thank you. These posts are so illuminating
Prior to Roe v. Wade abortion was illegal at least in some US states, as it has been throughout history of Christiandom.
Subsequent to Roe v. Wade it became legal throughout the US. At first, gestational age restrictions obtained, but shortly thereafter, in a separate decision, the courts sruck them down too. Since then we live under the regime whereby abortion on demand is legalized — it is proclaimed legal while it is not historically, or under natural justice, legal. If technical details are important to you on this thread, I can provide them, or you and the reader can do their own research.
At least. (When they repealed the law that was on the books, they never replaced it with anything. And there it stands.)
Beautiful.
Thank you.

Done, FRiend.
A blessed Holy Week to you.
It ends with a prayer of hope: "Let the coming generation be told of the Lord that they may proclaim to a people yet to be born the justice He has shown."
Just reading Psalm 22 is a wonderful Holy Week meditation.
