My father wants “In the Garden” at his funeral, too. It’s a hugh favorite with Protestants of an earlier generation or two.

the Christmas carol "Good Christian Men, Rejoice" was re-written to "Good Christian Friends, Rejoice".Ghastly, isn't it?
I think Christmas carols have suffered some of the worst outrages because they're so commonly used. I will be bellowing, "Born that MAN no more may die ... Born to raise the SONS of earth!" at full blast when Christmas arrives!

LOL! I’ve done it with a pencil, but sometimes they’ve mangled the sentences so much to avoid using “he” that making corrections is hopeless!

St. Paul’s Lockport is using LSB.
I like it but, truthfully, it allows too much flexibility across the Synod (one of the intents of forming Synod was to create consistency in worship throughout Lutherandom..)
