Last month, Francis Beckwith--president of the Evangelical Theological Society (ETS), noted evangelical philosopher, "God-blogger" and professor of church-state relations at Baylor University--was received into full communion with the Roman Catholic Church. Shortly after, he resigned his presidency and membership in ETS, sending shock waves through the religious blogosphere and parts of the evangelical community.

When can we expect a “Second Catholic Conversion” ala Gerry Matatics?
Theologically liberal. There's a curious bit of politically correct language we've adapted from the world. Liberal or conservative, we are all on the same spectrum, with equally valid points of view. Right?
No one is apostate. Or, perhaps more correctly, we are unwilling to say a person is apostate whether or not we care to admit that it is a fact.

I have a friend who tells me the same thing.

That is indeed quite true. My Father listens to Catholic Radio, and he tells me some of the strongest Catholics there are former Protestants. I think it is because they have a great appreciation and love for the faith by working to become Catholic. Some baptized Catholics never really appreciate or seem to desire it, and they either become a Kerry/Pelosi, or they go their separate ways.
