Mohammed in the "Gospel" of Barnabas - ZOT for the Theologians
Posted on 07/17/2006 9:05:28 AM PDT by parakletos
The GREAT PROPHET MOHAMMED was mentioned by name in the forgotten gospel of Barnabas, who was one of the disciples of THE GREAT PROPHET JESUS CHRIST.
The gospel is here: www.barnabas.net/
in the aforementioned site, make a search for the word "mohammed".
heres a sample: from part 97
Then said the priest: `How shall the Messiah be called, and what sign shall reveal his coming?'
Jesus answered: `The name of the Messiah is admirable, for God himself gave him the name when he had created his soul, and placed it in a celestial splendour. God said: "Wait Mohammed; for thy sake I will to create paradise, the world, and a great multitude of creatures, whereof I make thee a present, insomuch that whoso bless thee shall be blessed, and whoso shall curse thee shall be accursed. When I shall send thee into the world I shall send thee as my messenger of salvation, and thy word shall be true, insomuch that heaven and earth shall fail, but thy faith shall never fail." Mohammed is his blessed name.'
Then the crowd lifted up their voices, saying: `O God, send us thy messenger: O Mohammed, come quickly for the salvation of the world!'
what do you think?

Were modifying the Shuttle Thrusters for the Earth Return Expedition Vehicle. It will be a prototype for distant-moons-and-planets craft as well.
As you know, our GCNR rockets produce enormous thrust, which is more powerful and efficient than chemical rockets.
The demands of interplanetary travel however, require us to squeeze every ounce of efficiency out of even those very powerful engines.
It is similar to producing high performance fighter aircraft. They can be fast, using afterburners, or they can be relatively efficient running under their normal jets. The trick is to produce an efficient high-speed engine.
What we are doing is strapping an afterburner of sorts on to the regular GCNR rocket, by placing a magnetohydrodynamic booster in the exhaust gas flow.
Normally, such devices may be used with GCNRs to produce electrical energy, using the ordinary rules for moving electrical conductors in magnetic fields.
By applying electrical energy to the booster, we hope to accelerate the exhaust gas to an even higher speed, and reduce the amount of reaction propellant for a given change in velocity, (Delta Vee).
Even with this possible boost in efficiency, it may be necessary to enter coast phases during the trip. Accordingly, the Expedition Vehicles will have a shuttle mounting assembly which will permit the maneuvering shuttle engines to operate as balancing masses for a rotational artificial gravity.
There will also be internal rotating platforms to allow the craft to operate in a bi-gravitational manner, meaning their orientation can be vertical as in a traditional rocket configuration, or horizontal as in an ordinary airplane.
The return trip to Earth is estimated to require at least three months, probably three and a half.
After exchanging passengers and cargo on Earth, the ship will take a more leisurely return voyage to rejoin us.
Again, in addition to our primary mission, this will be a shakedown cruise to evaluate the performance of the vessel as an exploration craft for outer planet surveys and missions.

"Santa is going to bring me a robomale for Christmas?" I can't say for sure. He said he found your interest informative, and then he said he was going to call his stockbroker.
He can be cryptic at times.
