On her church's website, she says that the Gospel "doesn't matter a rat's tail if it doesn't change people's lives".
The irony of this Lesbian saying just this is too rich for Lent. Dare I mention it would be a good idea for her to set the example and try changing her own life?
I know I know someone will tell me Christ said He who is without sin cast the first stone
A good example but I always like to suggest they finish reading because He said something else during that event. Something along the lines of Go and sin no more.
Of course with this crowd this means Sin no more but not any less either
What can you do with this kind other than convert to Catholic if you can not remove them from their post?
The Episcopalian Church is dead.

Her selfishness, self-absorption, egoism and arrogance will send another bump of Episcopalians elsewhere.
She alone is changing people's lives with her meglomania. Shame on her.
Shame on those who put up her name and voted her in.

As these liberals kill the American church, I hope they are loudly rejected in England as they are in Asia and Africa. A small sodomy death cult in the US should not be permitted to bring down the whole church.

***An Anglican clergywoman in a long-term, same-sex relationship is set to become the first lesbian bishop***
The question that I have is why did her becoming a Bishop bring light to this issue? Why was is not dealt with when she was a being considered for ordination?

she says that the Gospel "doesn't matter a rat's tail if it doesn't change people's lives".What has happened to the eloquence of the Episcopal Church? I guess crudeness of language has replaced all reason.

This is rather akin to the people on the Titanic after hitting the iceberg rushing about and cutting holes in the bottom of the ship.

No, Rowan, it is not about 'sexuality.' It is about perversion.

Even with what has happened I wouldn't have ever thought that a lesbian could be a bishop of any REAL Christian church.

I wonder, just how serious can a BISHOP be about her religion, about teaching, training, and disciplining the ministers and thousands of people in HER OWN religion .... if she is living in sin with a woman who claims to be a minister in a completely DIFFERENT faith?
AFter all, would you listen to a Baptist bishop who was living with to a Roman Catholic, but was not married to that Roman Catholic?

Talk about horror.
Suppose a person were an actual God-fearing and God-loving Episcopalian with deep roots in Los Angeles. Choices: stay in the ECUSA and in Los Angeles and have a practicing lesbian bishop; stay in Los Angeles Archdiocese and become a Roman Catholic but be under Roger Cardinal McPhony; take the big leap and leave LA and your roots behind and flee to Lincoln, Nebraska, there to become an RC under Bishop Fabian Bruskewitz. #3 is a serious cultural jolt but well worth it.

here is a less well mentioned part of her resume - her church is tiny...200 members. If anyone thought she was good at her job the place would be busting at the seams with joyful members of the church. It is a dead church. Why promote her?
