"But Jesus, turning to them, said, Daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep for Me, but weep for yourselves and for your children. For indeed the days are coming in which
they will say, Blessed are the barren, wombs that never bore, and breasts which never nursed! - Luke 23:28-29
They're here.

Cacique may disagree, but some of us have NO DESIRE to have kids. HE of ALL PEOPLE should understand that.

Hey, kids are fun. And like Rodney Dangerfield said, half the fun, is making 'em!
Raising children is one of the greatest ways to experience the love of God, as His Father's heart is seen from parent to child in many ways.

Without doubt, children do impose themselves upon our creature comforts, waking us up in the middle of the night with demanding needs and inconvenient interruptions. That's ok, there's plenty of illegal aliens willing to fill the void by makin' anchor babies...

The church should insist that the biblical formula is: Adulthood means marriage, and marriage means children.
Not necessarily.
For some, their clergy are to remain celibate. For others, their clergy are able to be married. I'm a member of the latter, and it does seem to align better with the above quote from the article.
However, the Apostle Paul does make clear that there is a place for gifted, voluntary celibacy.

Another woman asked: What would the return be on the investment? Psalms 127:3 Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.
4 As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth.
5 Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate.

They love their gourmet kitchen, outfitted with the very latest stainless steel appliances and fashionable countertops. Deb Schum explains, If we had kids, we would need a table where the kids could do homework. I always wonder, in articles such as these, whether they held a "Quote That Makes You Sound Like a Blithering Idiot" contest among the interviewees.

You focus those motherly feelings elsewhere. For us, our dogs get all that loveThat is SO adorable! BTW, since you can't take "it" with you, can you leave all your worldly possesions to me? I mean, what do you care, when you're gone?
To: Between the Lines
Wow. I had no idea that not having children made me and Xena's Guy sinners.

One woman wrote that motherhood just doesnt fit her self-image or her schedule. I compete in triathlons; my husband practices martial arts; we both have fulfilling careers; we travel the world . . . we enjoy family and friends; we have a fun, intimate relationship. I'm thinking the irony is lost on this woman.

Having children is like singing, if you're not inclined or able to do it well, you shouldn't be encouraged to do it at all.
