He's 17. Hard-headed. Depressed. Has PTSD and a huge case of survivor guilt and girlfriend troubles. He wasn't suicidal or anything like that, but not taking meds can change that.

Please keep my poor family in mind. Done and done. Thoughts and prayers for both your 'kids'.
We've got a 2 yr old Rottweiler who got out twice and I went nuts both times. I've also got a step daughter on anti-depression meds and another who has night seizures so I understand from that side of your problem as well.

Dear Lord,
Please Embrace this Family in Your Bright Light of Grace and Love, and Please Send home safely this Woman's son and dog too..Thank You Lord, Amen.
To: Knitting A Conundrum
I remember your post worrying about your son.
The immediate problem with your sun is not the disappearance but neglecting the meds. Can you reach him at his brother's? what prevents someone from taking the meds to him or taking him home? Or has he disappeared as well and I misunderstand your post?
I had a golden retriever girl just like this. Goldens need to roam. If your neighborhood is reasonably rural, and if you have a reasonable dogcatcher, don't worry. She'll be back.
God, protect your servant KAC's son in his adolescence, and protect Hunter from evil people.
Amen
