Prayer request
8/12/05 | Knitting A Conundrum

Posted on 08/12/2005 7:07:48 PM PDT by Knitting A Conundrum

Today, I came home from the library, and my son is gone (not surprising, I really didn't expect him to be home. He spends very little awake time at home), and the front door behind the glass open, his pillow and sheet on the sofa (where he's been sleeping lately cause his room heats up) instead of the cover I have to protect it from the dogs sitting on it, none of his chores done, and one of my dogs is missing.

Hunter's an escape artist. She is notorious for finding holes under the fence where no one suspects them. When you let her out, you have to escort her or she may very well disapeer. She's also going into heat, which gives her more of an urge to run. To make things more interesting, we've also been told by the city fathers if they find her out again, we will have to go to court and pay court costs for an out of control animal.

I am worried about her. She's a beautiful pedigree golden retriever from a champion blood line. She never met a person she didn't like. She was in one accident as a pup because of her running away tendencies, but got lucky. She did have a name tag with our phone number on the collar but we haven't gotten any calls, not from Animal Control or someone who found her. I wonder if she lost her tag? She is chipped.

Son, who went to his brother's without taking his meds still hasn't taken his meds. They are for depression. This is three full days without them.

He's at an elevated risk for convulsions from cold turkeying on one of those meds. And he came home from his brother's especially last night to take his meds. And he didn't take them.

I've been having problems with depression myself, my anxiety level is high, and I know this makes it even worse on my hubby, who is also worried.

I don't know which of my babies to cry for. Both of them, I guess!

Please remember my son and my doggie and all of us in your prayers. I would really, really really appreciate it!

He's 17. Hard-headed. Depressed. Has PTSD and a huge case of survivor guilt and girlfriend troubles. He wasn't suicidal or anything like that, but not taking meds can change that.

Please keep my poor family in mind.

Done and done. Thoughts and prayers for both your 'kids'.

We've got a 2 yr old Rottweiler who got out twice and I went nuts both times. I've also got a step daughter on anti-depression meds and another who has night seizures so I understand from that side of your problem as well.

Remember the order for God's plan:
God,
Family,
Work,
Other things.

The pets come last, sorry, Knitting.

I remember your post worrying about your son.

The immediate problem with your sun is not the disappearance but neglecting the meds. Can you reach him at his brother's? what prevents someone from taking the meds to him or taking him home? Or has he disappeared as well and I misunderstand your post?

I had a golden retriever girl just like this. Goldens need to roam. If your neighborhood is reasonably rural, and if you have a reasonable dogcatcher, don't worry. She'll be back.

God, protect your servant KAC's son in his adolescence, and protect Hunter from evil people.

Amen
