You and me both...sometimes I wonder what Jesus said to Peter when he appeared to him after the resurrection - that meeting is mentioned but never described.
Peter, grieved, feeling horribly guilty for not being able to say, Yes I know him, to have hope dawn that Sunday morning after the bitterness of facing the reality of his weakness...and then to have Jesus appear to him that Sunday...personal, poignant, redeeming.
Gives me hope when I feel I have let God down badly!

And it's not a horse race either, despite our bent toward BINGO...lol.
It would help, were they to have a few of the faithful comment, and by "faithful" I do not include Chris Matthews given his public statements regarding abortion.

Guys on the radio this morning were discussing the papal office pool. What is the over-under anyway?

I hate to be a killjoy, but I just found out that they actually proclaimed it a sin to bet on the election of a Pope.

I'm sort of surprised there isn't an over-under regarding the number of days or votes.

Amen to that! The Cardinals are leaving the Sala Regia and walking to the Sistine Chapel right now! Prayers to the Holy Spirit to grant them wisdom.
To: seamole
Pope Bernard Law. Wow, that would almost be as much of a travesty as the Red Sox!
