I just heard...Sister Lucia passed away! I can't find anything online yet, however...
No doubt about that at all and with Our Lord ,Our Lady and her 2 little cousins whom she loved soooo much. Watch the movie.
Interesting www.fatima.org have her death on 2/14...
"R.I.P.
Sister Lucy of Fatima
Sister Lucy, the last surviving seer of Fatima, passed from this life on February 14, 2004 at the age of 97 years. Our Lady's Fatima Apostolate deeply mourns her passing along with many millions of other faithful friends of Our Lady. We take special comfort in remembering that Our Blessed Lady promised Sister Lucy that they would meet again in Heaven. We urge you to join us in prayer for the repose of Sister Lucy's soul and for the continuation of the work to which she dedicated her life. Please check back soon for more on the passing of Sister Lucy."
It was the 13th in America, anyway, because the 1st reports were out around 9 or 10 p.m. last night.
European papers on this site yesterday said the 13th around 5pm.
I found it curious, given all the specualtion here surrounding her death, that the fatima site [Gruner] say the 14th.
See post #182.
You are a prophet :-D
Another article on her death - very detailed:
Fatima's Sister Lucy Dies at 97

Which would be to say that the "constant preaching" on anything, by the great Saints of the past, detracted from God in some way. That's absurd. And the Saints, not to say that of Fr. Gruner, but the Saints were very persistent in their preaching. It was only because all of this God and His Church, Heaven and hell, saving souls, mattered to them. They took it seriously - when others either did not or wanted it to just go away.
We have to remember, Fr. Gruner is now incardinated in a diocese. He is taking orders from higher up.
My guess is the good sisters in the convent knew Rome would do something like this so they released news of Sister Lucia's death to the secular media first.
Good point.
The priests here hadn't heard yet, this morning when I came in to work. Pretty shocked everyone was - but no hype about it.
We have to accept it, move on, and be careful not to get caught up in over-guessing/over-reacting to all the hay flying now.
Two other famous references to 13 - Pope Leo XIII had his vision of the 20th century on October 13, 1884 which led him to write the Prayer to St. Michael.
Requiem aeternam dona ei Domine. Et lux perpetua luceat ei. Requiescat in pace. Amen.
Anima eius et animae omnium fidelium defunctorum per misericordiam Dei reqiescant in pace. Amen.
(It's from a Leukenite website, but in this instance, I think they're correct.)
1967, Pope Paul VI
Our beloved Holy Father with Sr. Lucia.
