It was the 13th in America, anyway, because the 1st reports were out around 9 or 10 p.m. last night.

European papers on this site yesterday said the 13th around 5pm.

I found it curious, given all the specualtion here surrounding her death, that the fatima site [Gruner] say the 14th.

His constant preaching on the consecration detracts

Which would be to say that the "constant preaching" on anything, by the great Saints of the past, detracted from God in some way. That's absurd. And the Saints, not to say that of Fr. Gruner, but the Saints were very persistent in their preaching. It was only because all of this God and His Church, Heaven and hell, saving souls, mattered to them. They took it seriously - when others either did not or wanted it to just go away.

We have to remember, Fr. Gruner is now incardinated in a diocese. He is taking orders from higher up.

My guess is the good sisters in the convent knew Rome would do something like this so they released news of Sister Lucia's death to the secular media first.

Good point.

The priests here hadn't heard yet, this morning when I came in to work. Pretty shocked everyone was - but no hype about it.

We have to accept it, move on, and be careful not to get caught up in over-guessing/over-reacting to all the hay flying now.

"I am from heaven."

The children replied, "Yes, we do." The Lady then told them that they would have much to suffer, but that God's grace would be their comfort.
