Scandal at St. Joseph's University
TFP Student Action ^ | 10-16-04 | Daniel Pribble

When you think the Holy Catholic Church cannot possibly endure further attacks or dissent from within, something painfully happens to prove the contrary.

The official web site of St. Joseph's University - a Jesuit institution established in 1851 in Philadelphia - openly announces a pro-homosexual event called "Rainbow Week." According to information posted on this website, a "Mass for Rainbow Week" on October 10 was celebrated in the campus chapel to mark the beginning of the weeklong program.

Among other pro-homosexual activities, a morally offensive exhibit titled "Love Makes a Family" will display photos of "Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender People and Their Families" in Campion Lounge.

"This event gravely offends God. It mocks morality and disastrously departs from 2,000 years of Church teaching and natural law. Catholics must protest this scandal. St. Ignatius must be turning in his grave," said TFP Student Action director John Ritchie.

Let us send a peaceful, legal and forceful message to the administrators of St. Joseph's University. Let us remind them of their responsibility before God. It is the least we can do for the good of an entire generation of college students whose souls are in serious jeopardy.

Please sign and send your instant e-message to St. Joseph's University president Fr. Timothy R. Lannon, S.J. The message is ready to go. Just go to www.tfp.org/sa

Maybe we should just write a letter to the Pope.

"God help the Latin Church."

Yeah, but remember, they aren't in crisis! :(

And they want us to come on over!

Sure they do. But that's not because they feel they are in trouble. It's like a critically ill patient aggressively pursuing stock market opportunities.

The gay activist ideologies of "gay pride" and "coming out" have nothing to do with the Catholic faith, and it is unfair for the Church to impose these radical political ideologies on Catholics. Those with same sex attraction are called to chastity, not celebration of sinful activity.

* yeah, it is all a big joke best addressed by sarcasm. BTW, in what way is this a thread about the orthodox?

Never mind. The whole "unity" thingy is unimportant. Just feel self-righteous about your own imagined perfections and fiercely defend separatism. That is what it is all about.

And now I am not in the world, and these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep them in thy name whom thou hast given me: that they may be one, as we also are.

12 While I was with them, I kept them in thy name. Those whom thou gavest me have I kept: and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition: that the scripture may be fulfilled.

13 And now I come to thee: and these things I speak in the world, that they may have my joy filled in themselves.

14 I have given them thy word, and the world hath hated them: because they are not of the world, as I also am not of the world.

15 I pray not that thou shouldst take them out of the world, but that thou shouldst keep them from evil.

16 They are not of the world, as I also am not of the world

. 17 Sanctify them in truth. Thy word is truth.

18 As thou hast sent me into the world, I also have sent them into the world.

19 And for them do I sanctify myself, that they also may be sanctified in truth.

20 And not for them only do I pray, but for them also who through their word shall believe in me.

21 That they all may be one, as thou, Father, in me, and I in thee; that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.

22 And the glory which thou hast given me, I have given to them: that, they may be one, as we also are one.

23 I in them, and thou in me: that they may be made perfect in one: and the world may know that thou hast sent me and hast loved them, as thou hast also loved me.
