I have a daughter-in-law who comes from a family heavily involved in the Focolare. Although they are good, God-fearing people I never talk religion or politics with them and so what I know I have learned through my son and daughter-in-law.
A couple of years before 9-11, the Focolare's founder began some sort of an alliance with Muslims. My son tells me now that there are Muslims, Lutherans, and at least one atheist living in community in Focolare houses.
hmm...really? What is agenda 21?
A sorta modern day "Protocols of the Elders of Zion"-type plan, (not that it says that the leaders of the world are Jewish) that would use the UN and other world organizations to create a global socialist dystopia. Suppoosedly the big meeting took place in 1992.
It was the policy proposal that came out of the UN conference for environment held at Rio de Janeiro in 1992 (can't remember the exact name - I remember this from a 1st year engineering environmentalism course I did many years ago). What that document covered is essentially the usual "eco-friendly" things like the so-called sustainable development. Don't laugh at that - many of the West's city-level councils take it seriously and most policy recommendations at that level are already reality around the world.
Hmm. Non-Catholic Franciscans... I'll have to file it under my special section for Oxymoronic Self-Negating Deviant Sub-Cultures.
Along with American Communists, Pro-abortion Catholics, Jewish Nazis, Black Confederates, Male Lesbians and Honest Politicians.
Ping.
This is just the sort of thing I know you'll enjoy.
Okay, Truth time: I just drew your attention to it because I like to see those wisps of smoke come out of your ears while your eyes turn into pinwheels.
Witches-,God bless them,mixed up.
How strange. I haven't heard of this lovely little group of new agers.

"The Brotherhood of Humanity: The Third Order Franciscan World Mission Endeavour of The Universal Church - The Church for a new World Order.
As the institutional forms of Christianity decline in their influence over contemporary society, you end up with a lot of people disconnected spiritually looking for alternatives. New Age religions, Eastern mysticism, cults, astrology, and the various psychobabble ideologies tend to fill this void. It's not the first time that aspects of Catholic or Christian symbolism have been used for one of these.
That jargon about "New World Order" is so hollow and crass. It can mean just about anything people want it to mean - global socialism, a global market economy, a new paradigm in science, ecological notions, alternative sexuality, utopianism, etc. But if the people using such slogans do not even understand the "old world order" it ends up being rather meaningless and just adding to confusion.
Trying to find some alternative to mechanized scientism is a valid inquiry. Not sure that's all that is involved with this group though. As would seem to be obvious from the vague quasi-religious claims. Interesting that Catholic religious garb has some symbolic meaning for them.I was almost expecting a "May the Force be with you" greeting.
Guys, "Agenda 21" is a United Nations agenda to bring land ownership and/or control into the hands of government at whatever level. For now. As time passes, all governments will be controlled centrally. The "NWO". Henry Lamb heads an organization at http://www.eco.freedom.org/el/ that is VERY informative about the subject, with an alternative called "Freedom" 21. I hope you visit the site. Peace and love, George.
I am equally surprised to hear of this wierd group> But the concept of non- christian Franciscans is not new to me. They administer lots of parishes in the arch of Ny (that is sardonic humor!!!!)But seriously, many have misused the name of Francis of Assisi in the cause of earth worship, Gaia worship, paganism, etc. But this group of "womeyn" is both puzzling and scary? The question before the house is this: who deve;oped this - is in charge of it?
NWO does serve a useful purpose: it attempts to bring together under one umbrella designation the various contemporary streams of modernism, humanism, secularism, atheism, neo-paganism, neo-gnosticism ad infinitum, ad nauseum. This would be useful if we stop trying to behead the Hydra and begin the Herculean task of strangling the Beast. The "old world order" was in fact multicultural. So I'm not sure what specifically you're defining as the "old world order".
Trying to find some alternative to mechanized scientism is a valid inquiry.
Yes it is. The mechanical view of the universe is useful for as far as it got us, it is when it cannot account for certain empirical data that we need to recognize its limits. Part of the problem I see with the sciences is their lack of recognition of the debt they owe to the Roman Catholic Church in general and the Scholastic Saints in particular. Galileo seems to be their patron saint. I am also bothered by the fact that science no longer serves God, but man. New paradigm or not if that doesn't change, cui bono?
It'll merely be Paradigm Lost all over again.
