Paging Dennis Kucinich's bagmanNot surprising that GW's propagandists are using Bubba as a credible reference now. Too funny. The only thing the administration has been able to do is produce any REAL evidence on WMD. Maybe they can blame space aliens or maybe David Copperfield made them disappear. LOL

David Kay has had several dozen arms caches to look throught. He's got several dozen more, some of which have thousands of rounds of artillery in them, to uncover and inspect. If you had been looking at the paper, you would have noticed that Kay did find a strain of botulinum mycotoxin.
But then again, you'd have to put down the latest issue of The Spotlight, wouldn't you?
Having read your stuff over the past months, I come to the conclusion that no amount of common sense, no citation of the experience of Munich, no reiteration of the need to attack the enemy before he attacks you, would change your mind. So, why bother?
Have a nice day.
Be Seeing You,
Chris

The issue is not whether we have found WMD, but rather, whether the WMD Iraq admitted to after the Gulf War (1990) have been accounted for. We can not leave Iraq until we have done so, and resolved anything new that may have been discovered.
In the Gulf War, a good part of Saddam's Air Force was flown to Iran for sanctuary. I believe with all the delays in this last war, Iraq's WMD components may have been moved into Syria and Iran.
I also believe al Qaida, having been effectively thrown out of Afganastan, are making an all out effort in Iraq, to push us out and take control as they did with the Talliban. Iraq would be a perfect new home for them and would serve as a quary for WMD and conventional arms. Their success, of course, depends on the American Talliban (Democrats) doing another Vietnam on the American public.

The only thing the administration has been able to do is produce any REAL evidence on WMD.I assume you meant "The only thing the administration has not been able to do is produce any REAL evidence on WMD."
To quote the article:
As Blix reported again in May 2003, "little progress was made in the solution of outstanding issues....the long list of proscribed items unaccounted for and as such resulting in unresolved disarmament issues was not shortened either by the inspections or by Iraqi declarations and documentation."
I assume Blix refers to the same "long list of proscribed items" that the article mentions.
Iraq didn't comply, playing games as usual. Saddam as much as admitted he had them.

I must give Richard W(Arete) credit. He sticks to his guns. He is not narrow minded. Just blinded by the need to be vindicated. I am in total disagreement with him, but I respect him for his vigor.
My business delivers full-color printed pieces to consumers. Our operation has no printing presses, no warehouse, no artists, no platemakers, no proofers. No production personnel at all, as a matter of fact we have no product to sell whatsoever. Yet we still deliver on time, every time.
Does that mean we are not in the business? Nope. We assemble what we need, when we need. A very 80's concept. The accronym is JIT. Just in Time. Any production can be done this way. Including WMD.
I believe the report delivered by Mr. Kay shows that the previous Iraqi government was doing just that.

The only thing the administration has been able to do is produce any REAL evidence on WMD. Exactly correct. They HAVE produced REAL evidence on the WMD's and programs.
Of course I know you intended that the opposite way, which just proves that in your haste to spew forth DNC talking points, you didn't proofread your statement.

The minimum Kay's findings prove, beyond a shadow of a doubt, is that Iraq was STILL in breach of all 16 UN resolutions since 1991, including 1441. Not to mention the Gulf War cease fire agreement and the fact that firing on planes in the no-fly zones alone constituted an act of war against the coalition.

"The reason for war, in the first instance, was always the strategic threat posed by Saddam because of his proven record of aggression and barbarity, his admitted possession of weapons of mass destruction, and the certain knowledge of his programs to build more.." Excellent, but it is an error in the War to Control the Language to talk about "the reason for war" in the singular. There were reasons that came together in what the President called "a convergence."

Regarding Iraq: We should give it our all. It's our duty to makesure iraq is a FREE country when we are finished. No halfway measures will do.

And then we bombed with the British for four days in 1998. We might have gotten it all; we might have gotten half of it; we might have gotten none of it. But we didn't knowLook, this says it ALL.
Bush said, in effect..."We will march to Baghdad and LOOK for the WMD we expect to find."
Clinton said, in effect..."We know enough about their EXACT LOCATIONS to program GPS targeting info into the Tomahawks and the 'Smart Bombs.'
Think about it...if Clinton didn't have the targeting info, then he spent MILLION$ shooting at the Desert.
I know how cynical and mendacious Bill Clinton is and was...yet I don't believe he lacked specific target info.
After all, he hit the Afgan al Qaeda training camps, and that Asprin factory in Khartom.

I agree. The evidence is there. Clinton's
SOD Cohen dropped a report on Pres. Bush's desk on the way out of the WH, published in part by the NY Times on Jan. 22, 2001 - re. Saddam Hussein's probable continuing pursuit of WMDs, labs could be set up, precursor chems ready for mixing, delivery systems waiting - along with trained personnel, to create and deliver WMDs in little time.
