Students at the city's high school for gay kids ganged up to clobber a man after he taunted them, cops said. The free-for-all on Astor Place left the man injured and under arrest, along with three students from Harvey Milk HS.

LOL. This school was established to keep these kids from being harassed and because these kids were supposedly defenseless to protect themselves in any other school. It would seem they have learned what every kid in a tough school has already learned, to survive you need to be in a clique.

"The same kid came back yesterday and he brought a screwdriver with him and he said to the girl, 'Where are your people?' She said 'What people?' and he punched her in the face," said Stephanie Ruiz, 16, from Woodhaven.

Sounds to me like the taunter/puncher got what he had coming. If you walk up to someone, ask them a question, they give you an answer you don't like, and you respond by punching them, the person who got punched is the victim, even if the the victim and his/her friends subsequently proceed to physically assault the perp in self-defense.

The man who allegedly provoked the fight - Vernon Jones, 23, of Brooklyn - was treated at a hospital for a puncture wound and was charged with menacing.

And the police seem to think he committed an offense worth a formal charge too.

A human being is so much more than their sex drive. How shallow and stunted to encourage people to make their sex drive their entire public identity. The government should not be in the business of promoting a "gay ghetto" or promoting the left-wing ideologies of "gay pride" and "coming out".

So the cops filed charges against the guy just for saying to the kids that "the way they were behaving 'reflected poorly' on other black kids"? That doesn't sound real plausible to me, especially in NYC.
