So the cops filed charges against the guy just for saying to the kids that "the way they were behaving 'reflected poorly' on other black kids"? That doesn't sound real plausible to me, especially in NYC.
Presumably, he engaged in mutual combat, so I don't have a problem with him being charged. I was just pointing out that the kids apparently started the actual violence by throwing the bottle.
I think this episode shows that this whole idea of a segregated "gay" high school was a bad one, and has failed to "protect" the students.
