Art Torres claims violations of civil rights voting acts because of long lines and people who couldn't get to the polls. Wow...it is just everybody elses fault. What's next, a free automobile for everyone...maybe a state funded shuttle to the polling places (don't democrats already do this).

Does anyone know of any GOP officials (national party members, Schwarzenegger campaign staff) or major conservative figures who have openly asked where the Democrats were when Dems were accused of sexual mistreatment of women (since now they are gunning for Arnold)?

Like a swirling rat circling around the toilet bowl, they're flailing in all directions - directions which will be forgotten by morning.

Ahhhhhhh...but let's not let the little scumballs drop a good idea. Tomorrow should also begin the campaign to overturn statutes of limitations concerning sex crimes, and to prosecute the most serious ones first...beginning with rape in Arkansas.

Only then will the national rate come down, and our wonderful Commonwealth be a lock for the President.

Tap the brakes a bit here. This was a triumph for Arnold, not the Republican Party. I am sure that Arnold attracted huge numbers of non-Republican voters.

Bush spent $20 million in California in 2000. Gore spent $0. Gore won by 13 points.

Bush will still lose California, though with luck he might help a Congressional seat or two.

I am sniffing it as well -- KFI reporting that a lot of new Republicans have been registered which bodes well for Republicans!

Issa back on -- 8:01 everyone but the LA Saddam Times will call the election. Arnold getting more votes than Gumby got in a two man race in 2002! Arnold already took on the Indian Tribes. Recall around 60 and Arnold around 50.

Art Torres, Bob M. and Gray Davis still trying to be the Baghdad Defense Minister -- Issa said that he could not have gotten a Recall started without Gumby. Issa -- How Sweet It is!

McCauliffe on FNC babbling about victory. Hey Terry. Care to put some money where that big ol' drooling mouth be yapping?

no way. tom will have to do penance, just to stay in the party.. and even that may not save him.

I think the GOP and the State of California need Tom McClintock and people like him possibly more than you realize. A little dose of humility would be advisable for you McClintock haters. You love Schwarznegger tonight because he's driven Davis from office, but whether you continue to like him may depend on how much respect he has for Mr. McClintock's ideas.

I don't know when I have laughed this hard. Did you hear Issa on Gumby being responsible for the Recall even during the seven months of the Recall?

Cracks me up - Greta asking McScumball about Davis - he answers with diatribe on Bush - and Greta kind of blinks and says "So what do you think of how big of a f-up Davis ended up to be?"

Okay, so maybe some of the pro-Arnold campaign posters were a little overly intimidating....

Still, *Vote for me...if you want to live* has a nice, catchy ring to it.

[But I doubt it would work as well for Wesley Clark....]

Ecstatic congratulations from this Florida freeper to all you California freepers who worked so hard for Arnold.

The media outlets in Cali are so controlled by the libs that no one can tell me that the person-to-person internet campaign (bypassing the media) didn't play a huge role in this victory.

And Free Republic played a major role these two short months in getting the message out to all corners of the state.

Love you Cali surfers (internet ones, hah!).

Terry McAwful: The vote against Gray Davis was a referendum on GW; Davis is losing because it was such a short campaign and people just weren't paying attention.

Does Anyody else just see the arrogance of this man? This was the most covered non-presidential election in history...and you Californians are too stupid. This guy just can't understand why democrats have lost seats in all branches of goverment since 1994. And he is the worst prognosticator I have ever seen.
