I don't know why Terry hates Rush, but Rush has mentioned more than once that he does, but hasn't explained why.

If Rush had held his fire, he would keep the job but we would not know that the Left has infiltrated one of the great American institutions.
When Steve Young folded, you saw what the Left is capable of. Take football back. It's ours.

I don't understand why you think Rush blew it because he made a comment and expressed an opinion that was wrong.
I thought it was wrong when I heard him say it, but if being wrong is grounds for firing then none of the guys on any of those commentary shows would still have jobs.
As for McNabb, when he plays the Cowboys next week, we'll see what he is really made of!! (ha)

You nailed it. That's what we need, blind punters.
We should start a foundation for bad, out of position players. We could call it the Seahorn foundation.
Why dont we start by signing up some skinny white offensive linemen? The undersized fullbacks need a home too.

Terry Bradshaw hates rich achievers. He has always had a chip on his shoulder because of the fact that after 4 Superbowls, the Steelers would never pay him the big bucks. His last contract paid him only $800K. After winning 4 Superbowls! On top of that, what little money Bradshaw has left goes to multiple alimony payments. Poor decisions have left him almost broke.

If Rush had held his fire he'd still be on Sunday NFL Countdown and heir apparent to Madden on MNF. We already KNEW the left had infiltrated the sports press, they're THE PRESS they've been heavily left leaning and others (like Steve Young) have wives and stuff that causes them to need to keep the jobs they have and not squander their celebrity on lost causes.
The simple fact remains that Rush crossed a line he said he wouldn't. Whether or not McNabb is as good as his press is a football issue, WHY McNabb's press is better than his stats is a social issue, Rush said he wouldn't be getting into social issues. If he'd have stuck to football, which is what he was getting paid for and what he'd promised to do, he'd still have his job, let somebody else make the big statement.

When I said I thought it was wrong, I mean I thought Rush was incorrect in his assumption that the press was over-hyping McNabb because he is Black.
There have just been too many Black quarterbacks for that to hold water. Maybe 10 years ago.
But I don't think he was wrong in expressing his opinion, and I don't think he would be wrong in saying that Blacks often get a pass from the press because they are so terrified of being non-PC.
I didn't see the show this morning. I watched it for Rush, and, although I enjoyed it, I wouldn't watch it again, after the cowardly and unseemly attacks you people report that were made today.

The ensuing treatment of Rush proves that.

What in the treatment of Arnold, Trent Lott, George H. Bush, George W. Bush, Ronald Reagon, Tom Selleck, any conservative in the media, gives you that impression.
Rush was going to be eliminated by the media in an organization controlled and owned exclusively by a PC organization.
Replacement for Madden, please. It doesn't matter who they put on as a commentator because the product sells itself. They will put their voices or those that won't offer resistance.
Hollywood is doomed because they won't make a decent movie prefer to make the movies of the Leftists and their cronies. Those movies will come from other places. Football is the same way. There will be no competition. They will destroy the game. Hey, rats prefer soccer anyway.

The press and the rats can't report anything without putting it in racial context.
First black to do this, first black in ten years to do this ....
Everything is measured in those terms to the press. Everything. To say McNabb is favored because he is black is a no brainer. Whether it is white guilt or racism is debateable but to say it doesn't exist is folly.
Why even mention a person's race in any news media. Every mention is racism. Open any news magazine and see how many you see.
A minor commentator on a minor sports program watched by very few Americans says the media prefers a young struggling QB (with some promise) in an East coast town because he is black. EVERY news program in America blasts it for days every ten minutes in some cases twisting and distorting his words.
You're right when I think about it, it couldn't possibly be press bias.

Did you see the replay of him rolling his ankle yesterday? I'm not sure whom you are referring too. UVa wasn't televised yesterday, and I didn't see any highlights.

Rush is gonna meltdown real soon.
You and pals at the DNC hope so for the 2004 election. Problem is that he will be more popular than ever. This only effects people people like you and Jessie Jackson who didnt like him to begin with. You will feel a lot better at

What gives me that impression is he was #2 behind Miller for the MNF spot, and he DID have a contract for the whole season. There are plenty of successful conservatives in the media, you list a couple and lets not forget Al Michaels, the trick is they don't make an issue of it unnecessarily. The most popular sit-com in America today stars a pro-life female lead, and the awards just keep rolling in for Everbody Loves Raymond.
Rush was only going to be eliminated if you overstepped HIS OWN promise. He did, stupid on his part.
The ratings numbers for MNF in the pre-Miller, Miller and post-Miller eras show you're wrong. And I wasn't saying they'd fire Madden, just remembering that Madden isn't a young man and with his diet is also probably not a healthy man, he'll be retiring eventually, if that came after Rush had a successful run on ESPN (remember ABC and ESPN are both owned by The Mouse) he'd be the obvious choice (again, he was runner-up to Miller).
Yeah Hollywood hasn't made a good movie in decades, sure, we'll just ignore Blackhawk Down, We Were Soldiers and the numerous other excellent movies with conservative themes and often starring conservative actors that have come ou in the last few years. You're absolutist position is blinding you to the truth, the truth is while conservatives might have it a little rough the situation is nothing like you describe. Football won't even be touched by the Rush firing, you're grossly overstating the importance of this, he wasn't even on the main desk, he might have gotten there if he'd managed to pull a clean season. But he didn't pull a clean season, instead he did EXACTLY what he promised he wouldn't, he injected social concerns in a football discussion and got his ass kicked for it in the way ANYBODY that goes back on a promise should.

AOL was playing a clip of that segment on their sports channel and I was sickened by the rant. After Rush spoke with such class of them. I will never watch the show. I was going to get cable or the dish if ESPN stood by Rush instead of bowing to the NAALCP and other speech fascists. Now I don't know if I'll ever watch ESPN again.

I didn't see it- but my brother did. He said it was a disgraceful performance all around. Who do they think they are kidding? Every football fan knows what Rush said was the truth.
