The maid said this all started because her hubby was on pills and Rush asked her for a few. Does this make any sense to you??
If he was addicted, he would have had his own source before she arrived.
My guess is that this lady and her hubby are dealers and she just happens to work for Rush and so she started on this path of self-destruction implicating "her boss".
And he was in detox twice?? What does that tell you? He wanted to be an addict and would do anything to continue??

"May God Bless you Rush".
Do this include all the "maggot infested dope smokers?"
Yes. May God Bless you too Joe.

Look, first of all someone ought to tell Rush the football story is dead....
All the red flags are there in his dialog..It don't look good, trust me....

People take drugs because they are in pain. With the possible exception of the teenager who is "experimenting" with something just to see what it's like, drugs are ALWAYS taken to relieve pain. Also to lose weight.

The ESPN show will drop back to it's earlier ratings- maybe a little less.
That means they will lose money because they lost Rush because he criticized the media's racial bias.
That's the kind of lesson that the media will take to heart.

Then if the whole thing was fabricated why doesn't he just say it's not true and the facts will come out later? Pretty simple. I like Rush, always have, but he didn't handle the drug part of his discussion well. I think he did great on the ESPN thing. No argument with his position there.I agree, I was very disappointed that Rush didn't simply say, "Folks there is nothing to it." It leaves me to believe that there is something to it.
Sad.

Spoken like a true drugist.
Nevermind all the pain these things cause in the longterm, a short term fix is always better than the big picture to a drugist.

Limbaugh "...most of the emails have been about the ESPN story.... Rush, the ESPN story is a sideshow. The big story is about drugs and your innocence or guilt. Either you will continue to deflect, bob, or weave with some glib answers or address the issue. Sad, really sad.

What you are missing is he HASN'T BEEN ACCUSED OR CHARGED WITH ANYTHING. There is nothing to deny and he would be stupid to talk about ANYTHING specific at this point. I am sure that his lawyer has already advised him of this point.

After another FReepers comments yesterday on his own experiences, thats what I think too. My husband thinks maybe the maid was let go because she was stealing his legally prescribed meds. Either case would explain any calls, emails, or discussion of the matter. She could edit the evidence to implicate Rush and take the heat off herself. I support Rush over a drug dealer any day!

Same here. I was a liberal. College in Boston indoctrinated me.
My husband convinced me to get beyond the "feminazi" comments and listen to Rush. I did. I liked what I heard. I changed.
He has exposed more of the hypocrisy on the left than anyone else in the nation. I'll venture to guess he has persuaded more people to join the GOP than any other person in the country.
A lot about this story doesn't ring true, but if it is, he needs our support, not condemnation. There isn't one person on this thread who is perfect and does not have flaws and has not made mistakes.

"Just the fact that he is dodging the drug question is brutally harmful to Rush. If there was nothing there, or nothing to hide, he would say so......Simple as that.
"
Lawyer or not, you are correct. If he was not taking these prescription drugs bought without a prescription, the appropriate line is:
There are stories in the news about me taking prescription drugs obtained illegally. I will say just one thing about that. The stories are untrue. Now let's move on to my ESPN nonsense.
He gets in no trouble with a simple denial.

I don't know what he's dealing with but he certainly does.Whether he knows or not is immaterial. It's obvious that he's been told to be quiet. Whether by his lawyer or investigators or someone else, in any event, it's not his place to tell everyone one way or the other at this point.
ESPECIALLY in a siutuation such as his when/where he's under a microscope. His critics are looking --no, desperately searching for any, ANY, crack, any flaw, any issue that they can exploit. If he denies, they begin saying he's hiding something. If he admits and apologizes --for even something as innocuous as breaking a mirror, he's painted as guilty for everything up to and including the kidnapping of the Lindbergh baby.
I understand that you want to know. Hell, everyone wants to know. But at this time, that is something that you do not need to know.
We will find out in due course.

I am not.

I'm wondering if Limbaugh did a backround check on this chick and her hubby.
