AN DIEGO (AP) -- Gubernatorial front-runner Arnold Schwarzenegger acknowledged that he has "behaved badly" to women and offered an apology Thursday.
Schwarzenegger's remarks, as he kicked off a four-day bus tour of the state in the final days of the recall campaign, came after a Los Angeles Times story published Thursday in which six women accused him of sexually harassing and groping them.

>>>Did you get to see all six of the busses this morning?<<<
No...sure wish I did.
Just headed straight out to avoid the crowd.
Were you there, too?

No spin but your own.
It is well you use sarcastic allusions, because the infered argument is so wanting. You leave it to the reader to infer your two main premisis:
1) Arnold is getting a free pass among Conservatives.
2) That having teams of publically funded character assissins attack the reputation of Bill's victims is no worse then Arnold's supporters not accepting these allegations at face value.
Ofcoarse when spelled out your argument is absurd on the face of it. Seems that modern "liberalism" is best promoted by snotty sarcasm, being that logic and honesty just doesn't work with their positions.

My name is Chris Hansen. I am a born again Christian. I could never vote for schwarzeneger. He promotes gay adoption which puts kids at greater risk. He promotes abortion which kills kids even before they're born. These are the kids he supposedly loves and cares for. Now in all fairness let's give Schwarzeneger some credit. He may be guilty of promoting child endangerment and even child killing, but he does promise not to be a thief as well! He's promised to be very very good and not raid the public treasury!

I think his admitting that he screwed up when he was young, rich, and stupid but has changed and regrets the offense he caused was the best thing he could do. Far less damaging than lying about it.
For perspective sake, did he hold a woman down on a bed, keep her under control by biting her lip till it bled, and rape her twice before leaving the room saying "you better put some ice on that"? I don't know, but I suspect that if he had done anything approaching physical battery and rape it would have come out today. Instead we know that he fondled a half dozen (anonymous) women sometime during a period of 20 plus years.
If I lived in California I'd be voting for Tom McC, but for reasons other than the fact that at one time in his life Schwartzenegger was a masher.

What specific acts of sexual harassment did Arnold Schwarzenegger say he committed?

The weird thing is, we have Southflanknorthpawsis on record supporting just the opposite position in 2000. Reference my posts upthread for proof.

"If this brand of Republican politics takes hold in California, it will begin to spread across the nation and infect the GOP in other areas where many centrist-RINO's dwell." It's already rampant in the northeast, Washington state, etc. and is to be expected as elected leaders gravitate towards the Party in power. However, it's important to recall that the Pubbies took control--in large part--because folks were tired of a Party that supported an ever-expanding Federal Leviathan and were promised that the GOP was different than the RATS, and would devolve power outta DeeCee and back to States, Localities, Neighborhoods, Families, and Individuals. Unfortunately, non-defense discretionary spending at the Federal Level is growing faster with Dubyuh and the GOP in charge than back when Clinton and the RATS held sway!!
I'm starting to feel more than a bit betrayed, and if the Pubbies don't right their course, the major Party realignment you describe will become an inevitability!!

If he only has 6 women who have come forward, and this is the best they have, I'd say he's done pretty well. LOL! Furthermore, it's no big deal. He wasn't seriously pressuring them, he wasn't even alone with them, and he is, furthermore, a celebrity actor - whose behavior is pretty mild by actor standards.
Furthermore, he simply admitted it. If Ol'BJ had admitted it, nobody would have cared, because everybody knew all along that that's the kind of person he was. (Of course, Clinton WAS pressuring women, alone with them, taking advantage of his status as their boss, etc.)

What specific acts of sexual harassment did Arnold Schwarzenegger say he committed? I have to admit, I don't know under which step "Spamming an Internet Thread" falls. I'm guessing you're still in the denial stage.

That's true, but it wasn't really all sarcasm. These statements have been made by some of his supporters.

Look at what happened to the Tories in Canada. They became the Progressive Conservative Party, gradually moved to the left, rejecting conservative philosophy, and today they hold 12 seats in the House of Commons, one fewer than the far-left NDP.This is an excellent observation. I would make two comments: One is that Canada has a Liberal PM and has for almost 10 years.
The second is that Canada is a parliament and parties can form coalitions. Some die-hard CA conservatives wouldn't even allow their candidates to form coalitions to be "pure".
