AN DIEGO (AP) -- Gubernatorial front-runner Arnold Schwarzenegger acknowledged that he has "behaved badly" to women and offered an apology Thursday.

Schwarzenegger's remarks, as he kicked off a four-day bus tour of the state in the final days of the recall campaign, came after a Los Angeles Times story published Thursday in which six women accused him of sexually harassing and groping them.

I'm sorry that you are so desperate and embarrassed that you have to go searching for far-fetched things to save face, but you still cannot answer the question. All the searches in the world or attempts to focus on me won't change that.

What exactly do you know that Arnold did?

You are one very desperate person, aren't you?

Not at all - my stance has been vindicated.

But I suppose the argument could be made, that you are one very hypocritical person.

Perhaps you can jog my memory - weren't there a number of similar (perhaps even the same) accusations leveled against Arnold about a year ago? And that it appeared that his wife wasn't necessarily going to stand by her man? I forget exactly what office he was thinking about running for - but the sexual harassment allegations back then induced him to bow out.

It's odd that the assumption is made that these women have no basis for their complaints and much is made of the timing, but the reality is all of this was in the press along time ago.

Does my memory serve me incorrectly?

This just means he is now qualified to eventually run as president...right??

Other than that "natural born American" barrier.

Perfect. Go GOP! not

Between this Ahnold joke and the House vote to give away mortgage downpayments, I'm switching to the Constitution Party and going to promote it whenever I can. Tell me again the difference between Republicans and Democrats. I'd just as soon let California sink into the abyss and get it done with than vote for this clown.

Still no answer, huh? Maybe you could copy and paste pages of the NYC phone directory to avoid the obvious.

You have no answer and that makes your whole position baseless.

Yes, stories have been swirling about for at least that long. Certainly most of us weren't suprised that this broke, only with the timing.

"I think the time maybe drawing near, when cosnervatives unite and form their own political party."

It already exists: The Constitution Party. Check out their platform.

At least three of them have asked to not be identified.... so you get your accusers but never get to face them. I'm sure he's done things that aren't appropriate. For those few purist that haven't.... well what can I say.

The busses left today to wrap up the win on Oct. 7.....

Why would I care to apologize? All of the stories are still unfounded. Arnold is probably no saint but neither am I and neither are you nor is the vaunted Tom McClintock a saint. The Democrats are still using him and laying off of him because he's not a threat and they're still tooling you to do their bidding. Which you are.

But while you're at it why don't you the rest of the DNC's bidding here's some talking points for you to regurgitate.

President Bush is a liar.
He is also endanger CIA operatives lives just for revenge.
Rush Limbaugh is a racist
Ovaltine is the drink of the devil.

I think that the Weekly Standard (or maybe Nat'l Review, I don't remember which) summed it up best. Almost whatever happens the true losers are the Californians. Arnold may win he may not, but in the end Californians will get the usual shoddy leadership, leftist legislature. The only hope was a radical change in course, which not even many Freepers here supported. Arnold may make things somewhat better, but he isn't going to do what's really needed. He's not going to resurect the GOP. Sadly, California will lose on October 7 and that's about all we know.

I'm still struggling to get this straight.

Six women were emotionally harmed by something that a very wealthy celebrity did but it never occurred to them to do anything about it until the LA Times wanted to help Cruz Bustmonte get elected???????

AND.........supposed conservative purists are wagging their tongues to lap up every drop of the story.

Beam me up, Scotty.

He did absoluteley the right thing. If he had denied it, they would trot out these gals and it would distract from this last week of campaigning. My God, who hasn't done anything offensive in 30 years? If he only has 6 women who have come forward, and this is the best they have, I'd say he's done pretty well.
