"By law I have every right to be on the road"
Perhaps, but you can't hold up traffic and then turn into a pedestrian at a red light. Also, if one is to ride a bike on a street, he should have to wait in line and buy a tag, just like others on the road. If you don't want motorists to hate you, perhaps a bit of self-policing toward those stereotypical cyclists would be beneficial. I take no *rap from in-yer-face cyclists. You bring this on yourselves.

(one of these days I simply MUST come up with a decent tag line.)

Maybe you should be addressing that to me or ironman or RoughDoberman or bicycle thug - since Rebelbase has been saying pretty much the same thing you are. Maybe you should also try reading the thread - you having said anything new.

For your information some localities and states do require licenses. I've been to Hawaii many times for the Ironman Triathlon World Championship and have several state of Hawaii license stickers on my race bike. Any why did you add "wait in line"? It seems by adding those little 3 words you want to impose some similar "suffering" on others that you may have experienced.
