Kay Daly Joins Radio Free Republic

Radio FreeRepublic is pleased to announce that Kay Daly has joined the show host line-up. Her show "The Daly Report" will air every other Wednesday at 8pm eastern.

Kay's Bio:

Shortly after the 2000 Presidential election, Kay Daly orchestrated a communications team for an ad hoc grassroots coalition supporting the confirmation of U.S. Attorney General John Ashcroft. After the successful confirmation of Ashcroft, Daly formalized the loose coalition of 75 center-right grassroots organizations into a 501(c)4. As president of the Coalition for a Fair Judiciary, Daly coordinates grassroots communications and overall strategy supporting the President's federal judicial nominees.

At CPAC in January, 2003, Daly won the prestigious Ronald Reagan Award from American Conservative Union (ACU). When presenting the award, David Keene, president of ACU called Daly "the new Phyllis Schlafly" saying, "Kay Daly more than exemplifies the relentless spirit of a selfless conservative. Kay is an integral part of the grassroots effort in supporting President Bush's judicial nominees by overseeing the Coalition for a Fair Judiciary, but is equally important to our conservative movement by attending countless meetings, conferences, and Congressional hearings in defense of our shared conservative ideals." Keene continued, "Kay Daly claims to be a 'housewife from Arlington,' but the truth of the matter is that our conservative movement wouldn't be what it is without her resiliency, diligence and dedication to the conservative cause. She more than embodies those virtues upon which the Ronald Reagan award was founded and the conservative cause is a better, more unified and effective movement with her."

Kay Daly has over fifteen years of experience in corporate, political, grassroots and crisis communications, marketing and policy research, and issues management. Recently, she was the Vice President and Director of Public Relations for the Signature Agency, a public relations/advertising firm headquartered in Raleigh, NC, where she implemented numerous successful marketing programs for Fortune 500 companies worldwide.

While at Booz-Allen & Hamilton, she created and managed a successful political analysis department, specializing in new market development, grant management, information systems, defense technology, law enforcement/criminal justice issues, and government relations. Early in her career, Daly worked with Phillips-Ramsey Advertising & Public Relations on accounts such as WD-40, Sea World and the San Diego Zoo. In addition, she interned in Hollywood on the "Hill Street Blues" and "Dukes of Hazzard" productions while still in high school at Marlborough School in Los Angeles.

Daly is a nationally recognized communications strategist, speechwriter, crisis communications consultant and media coach with a winning track record on the front lines of campaign management and solid staff credentials on the local, state and federal levels. She has worked for U.S. Senator Phil Gramm (R-TX), U.S. Senator Pete Wilson (R-CA), U.S. Representative Fred Heineman (R-NC) and the North Carolina Republican Party in a variety of communications and policy positions. In addition, Daly served in Republican party leadership on the Fourth Congressional District Executive Committee, the Wake County Executive Committee and North Carolina Republican Women.

Daly also has high-level public policy research and issue management experience from her years at the Texas Public Policy Foundation as Chief of Staff to former Reagan Justice Department official Tex Lezar. The policy experience served her well during her time as Research Director for Tom Joyner, the top-rated North Carolina conservative talk show host, where she launched and produced Joyner's successful newsletter.

Using an innovative media and speech training program, Daly has successfully trained numerous corporate officials, political candidates, elected officials, grassroots organization leaders, sports figures, public policy group leaders, charter school officials and trade association advocates. Also, Daly taught a seminar in campaign communications strategy to women's groups in Ukraine.

Daly is a published columnist (Wall Street Journal, Washington Times, Investors Business Daily, National Review Online, Worldnetdaily.com, Opeds.com, Townhall.com, and many others), a "blogger" with SouthernAppealblogspot.com, speechwriter, frequent television guest, radio guest host and associate editor of Making Government Work: A Conservative Agenda for the States. In the fall of 2002, Daly testified on the state of the judicial nominations process in front of the Judiciary Committee for the U.S. House of Representatives. Kay is also the host of "The Daly Report" for Radio Free Republic.

Daly has received numerous awards including a citation from Senator Rick Santorum (R-PA) for "Distinguished Service to the United States Senate" and one of the nation's most prestigious awards for crisis communications work for a Durham, NC, charter school. She is listed in Who's Who, Who's Who in Finance and Industry, Who's Who of American Women and Who's Who in the World.

A native of Los Angeles, California, Daly has a bachelor's degree in Communications with a minor in Literature/Writing from the University of California, San Diego, 1989. She has also completed hours in graduate work in Legislative Affairs at George Washington University in Washington, DC. She is married to Jack Daly, an attorney with the U.S. Department of Labor and has two sons, Patrick Bryan (born March, 2001) and Jack Reagan (born May, 2003).

Free Republic Network, creator and sponsor of the radio show, just keeps getting better and more influential. It's exciting to regularly see the caliber of national, dynamic movers-and-shakers who are choosing to identify with the world's premier conservative website (us!).

Good work, Dio and the rest of the FRN hard-working doers.

We were there, at CPAC, when she got the award. This lady juggles two small children and still makes a difference in the world. She and Jack are both amazing.
