Note:

This is a two-part editorial!

There are two questions:

1- Recall Davis?
2- Replacement?

Some of you seem to be mixing the two issues up. Don't.

VOTE YES!

First for economic reasons: Schwarzenegger's fiscal ideas are close to McClintock's, but he'd have more ability to implement them.

OUCH!...

California has a lot to lose by retaining Davis or electing panderer-in-waiting Cruz Bustamante. No good can come from either choice. On the other hand, the state has nothing to lose, and a lot to gain, by electing Schwarzenegger.

The Long Beach Press-Telegram seems to agree with your thesis, Torie.

Ambrose, am i mistaken or aren't you the loyal McClintock supporter? Don't tell me you buy into this article, PLEEEEEASE say it isn't so!

Anyone who thinks Schwarzenegger is conservative doesn't comprehend the first thing about conservatism.
I wish all arnold lapdogs would do everyone a favor, leave the republican party, (rid us of their toxic poison, PLEASE!) and go lie with Davis, Cruz and Arnold in their degenerate godless filth!

By the way.. no one has mentioned this, but these guys actually claim to be Catholic. they are not catholic. Earlier this year bishop Weigland announced that "Gray Davis is no longer allowed to recieve Holy Communion in my Diocese", because of his abortionist stance.
Another Bishop back east said the same about Tom Daschle.

Someone needs to say the same about these rotten heretics Cruz and Arnold as well. Church doctrine plainly states: if they support and embrace abortion, the murder of the unborn, and homosexual ''unions'', that is a mortal sin which, if they don't ask for forgiveness and repent, their soul will be damned to hell.

And for any potential atheist or marxist flamers: Don't bother mocking my religion because that is the absolute Catholic teaching, ; there are no two ways about it. Matter of fact, look for a public announcement this week from a church official, stating just that.

The Press-Telegram which is my hometown newspaper is conservative in its editorial views. Its a good editorial which is miles away from the kind published in the ultra-Left (which often shills for Gray Davis) Los Angeles Times. In this recall election we have one vote. I love Tom McClintock and he has the right positions but he can't win. By a process of elimination that brings us to Arnold Schwarzenegger. Is he perfect? No. But he is an improvement over Davis and is a born leader. On his watch things can get better. And that's the change we need in California right now.

Three Southern California Indian tribes plan to spend nearly $3 million on television ads in the recall campaign to support Democratic Lt. Gov. Cruz Bustamante and Republican state Sen. Tom McClintock -- a huge boost to two candidates who are struggling to match Republican Arnold Schwarzenegger in television advertising.

LINK

Saturday, Bustamante made the unusual move of praising one of the Republican contenders. Bustamante talked up McClintock, who has been taking votes from Schwarzenegger and could spoil the actor's chances if Davis were recalled -- thus allowing Bustamante a chance to win.

"The one who's really been moving in this race has been Tom McClintock," Bustamante said at a campaign stop in Los Angeles. "Tom has done a good job to get up there. ... Tom has a really strong message, and there's a group of people out there who strongly believe in his values."

LINK

Atta boy Tom, that stand on principle resonates more clearly with each passing day.

A FLORIDIANS VIEW [ yea we're the "chad" state, so what? ] OF THE CALIFORNIA RECALL

A limo is hurtling down hill, towards a 500 foot cliff, to certain doom.

The occupants, afraid to jump out [may scrape their knees, doncha know] are trying to get the "drunk" [Gray Davis] from behind the wheel.

The expert driver [Tom McClintock] opines that he is the only one who can avert the impending tragedy.

The muscle bound guy with no drivers licence [Arnold Schwarzenegger] has grabbed the steering wheel.

With the precipice looming ever closer they begin to scream, yet no one bails out, all trying desperately to get control of the wheel.

As the limo goes over the edge, the huge crowd that has gathered to watch the sunset, hears an evil laugh above the screams.

Just then a limo door opens, a large figure emerges, and jumps clear. To the stunned crowds amazment, they see it's the muscle bound guy. [Arnold Schwarzenegger]

What's that on his back?
Why it's a parachute!

As the sun sets the crowd watches the limo drop into the abyss below, as a bright pink parachute gently lowers it's rider to the earth.
