What a creative idea? People learn quickly using visual effects. Hats off in salute to the students for a wonderful idea.

Sounds good to me. That is the way college admission is priced. One problem, they forgot to say "Illegal Mexicans: FREE".

You guys just smoked cigars? Alot of people at my school made a point of smoking more than just cigars on the Great American Smoke-Up Day.

It was a affimrative action bake sale, not a 'ridiculously overhyped college sports' bake sale. One sale at a time.
(Besides, legatees would be paying about $0.95. If you think legacy counts for much compared with race, check the U. Mich. data.)

"A black student filed a complaint with SMU, saying the sale was offensive."
Hmmm...so...do you think he finally got the point???
To: Ready4Freddy
Knowing SMU graduates, the $1.50 might have been raised by selling many cookies to whites at retail, but giving the "good ol' boys" a large rebate on the golf course.

"This was not an issue about free speech," Tim Moore, director of the SMU student center,
It's an issue of the WRONG KIND of free speech.
Free speech for me, but not for thee.

If you have to ask how much it costs to join Dallas Country Club......
Loved it when they had that 'Push button to cross street' on Mockingbird just east of Preston, so they could get to the back nine. Now THAT'S power - being able to stop traffic on a week day so you can cruise across the street in your golf cart in front of the working stiffs! :)

Matt Houston, a 19-year-old sophomore...My reaction was disgust because of the ignorance of some SMU students...Hey! Everybody back off Matt. I have to agree with him when he says the SMU students were ignorant. They could have avoided the whole incident by simply selling a bowl of white rice for $1.00, bonbons for $0.75, tamales for $0.50, and watermelon for $0.25 and donated the proceeds to the UNCF.
What's become of our yutes?

"They were arguing that affirmative action was solely based on race. It's not based on race. It's based on bringing a diverse community to a certain organization."Well that certainly clears it all up. I feel so ignorant!! LOL!!
Affirmative action is simply a reparations wolf dressed in diversity (sheep's) clothing.
If Je$$e Jack$on were there, he would have demanded half the cookies for himself (to be given to his whore of the day) and that some bruthas be hired to sell the cookies at exorbitant salaries.
To: Poseidon
Some black students should have teamed up and bought all the cookies at .25 and turned around and sold them to everyone for a 1.00. It would have been a lesson in capitalism.

I feel that the real lesson here is that if something is offensive to the eye of the beholder, that's all it takes if that eye is part of the protected classes. Whadda werld!

Sounds like it's based on race to me... Dang straight. Excuse the frank language folks, but getting into college is supposed to be about your brain, and the last time I helped my wife study for Anatomy, I didn't notice a penis, a vagina or any melanin-producing cells anywhere inside the skull.
