[history]
Pizza -- an American favorite. Americans eat more than 100 acres of pizza each day and an average of 23 pounds of pizza per person per year. Pepperoni pizza is the average American 10-year-old's favorite food, and pizza is second only to hamburgers as America's favorite food.

As long as you eat from the 2 major food groups (pizza and beer) you are doing OK.

About the time I read this, my coworkers asked did I want something from Whataburger. I don't like it, but it'll have to do since there's no pizza this early. Dang, I'll have to walk 4 or 5 miles to work off a cheeseburger.

If they could come up with a way to make pizza taste just as good the second day (after refrigeration) as it did fresh from the delivery place, that would be a food breakthrough equivalent to unraveling the human genome.

Pepperoni pizza is the average American 10-year-old's favorite food, I never heard of pepperoni on pizza until I was in my 20s - and I grew up in NYC, home to some of the best pizza joints on the planet.
Although now I do love pepperoni and pineapple, I till don't understand people who are grossed out by my ordering anchovies on mine.

I ate my first pizza in 1956 in Redding Ca. Don't remember much about the pizza but the gallon picture of beer made a lasting impression for me. Burp...
