I'm not sure Californians would vote for Bush just because Arnie is governor. New York has a GOP governor and the state went overwhelmingly for Gore; same with PA, same with (I think) Michigan.

On review, I would say "overwhelmingly" for Gore w/ respects to PA and MI would be a bit hyperbolic. However, NY is just as liberal as CA and Gore did receive a very solid majority.
